Why is it so close to midnight?

The United States (US) has been vigorously and unilaterally pushing the Doomsday Clock since 1991 that it is today at 89 seconds to midnight. Please click on this link to learn how the world got here: https://youtu.be/unzez2p0i6g

The US decided, after the collapse of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, to colonize her and the rest of the world. Today, the world is 89 seconds away from World War III, because of the US' decision to make US oligarchs even richer, instead of really spreading democracy.

This should have come as no surprise to the majority of Americans in 1991, because, in the 1930's, US Major General Smedley Butler wrote a book, WAR IS A RACKET, where he argues that the US uses war for profit. Moreover, President Eisenhower warned the nation in 1961 that its Military Industrial Complex (MIC) was obsessed with waging war for profit, rather than seeking peace through srength.

Today, the MIC is making a lot of money waging wars in Eastern Europe, the Taiwan Strait, and in West Asia. No wonder the world considers the US as the biggest threat to peace!

That money could better be spent on avoiding having almost 40 million Americans today living in poverty, and 201 million more living from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also Americans.

Did you know that the US Empire has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty too.

Americans must save themselves and the world from their own government!
