War for oil hegemony

It is the same reason why the US is fighting a proxy war today against the Russian Federation in Ukraine, and has kidnapped the president of Venezuela. The US is not interested in being the "champion of democracy", it is obsessed with being the champion of imperialism!

That is why almost 40 million Americans live in poverty, and 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also Americans. Therefore, the US' interest is only to protect its oligarchs' interest!

And, that is why the US will continue forever to refuse to comply with 43 United Nations' resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico also live in poverty. Bad Bunny made reference to Puerto Rico's colonial relationship with the US in his Super Bowl Halftime Show, which is the real reason why Trump hated it!

Will the annual UN Puerto Rico Decolonization Hearing be held in June of this year despite this financial crisis? This would be great news for the US, because it has always been against the UN's Charter and international law.
