¿Es culpable Oscar López Rivera de algún crimen? / Is Oscar López Rivera guilty of any crime?

Oscar López Rivera es el prisionero político más viejo del mundo.   El gobierno de Estados Unidos (EEUU) lo ha mantenido  en prisión por 31 años y no tiene la intención de liberarlo nunca.  La comunidad internacional se ha unido en pedirle al Presidente de EEUU y ganador del premio Nobel de la Paz que lo libere, como su secretaria de estado Hilary Clinton les ha pedido a otros países que haga con los de ellos.  Ella digo, “Un prisionero político en la cancel es un prisionero de más.”  Entre toda esta inconsistencia, pregunto, ¿Es Oscar culpable de algo?

EEUU encontró culpable a Oscar de tratar de derrocar al gobierno de EEUU.  Examinemos esto con un poco detenimiento.

EEUU lo condenó a una larga condena en prisión por pensar a derrocar el gobierno de EEUU a la fuerza.  Sin embargo,  EEUU no solo tuvo posesión de armas, las usó en contra PR en 1898 para cometer el crimen internacional de colonizar a otro país.  ¡EEUU no solo conspiro cometer un crimen, la cometió!  ¿Cómo es que ahora es agresor se ha convertido en la victima?  ¡Hay que usar muchos espejos y humo para lograrlo!

Al contrario, la evidencia histórica demuestra sin una duda razonable que EEUU es la culpable de violar la ley internacional estipulada en la Resolución 1514 (XV) del 1960 de la Organización de Nacional Unidas (ONU).  El crimen es, “la posesión de una colonia” la cual la comunidad internacional considera un crimen en contra de la humanidad.  ¡Y para agravar aún más este delito, EEUU tiene un total de 4!  PR es la más vieja y la más poblada de todas. 

La razón por la cual EEUU ha podido mantenerse prófugo de la justicia internacional es porque tiene el poder para hacerlo.  ¡Sin embargo, es obvio para todo el mundo que su posición de 114 años no guarda consistencia con proclamarse la campeona entre las naciones de la libertad, igualdad y, por supuesto, la justicia para todos!

Bajo la ley internacional, toda nación colonizada tiene el derecho a utilizar todos los medios necesarios, incluyendo la fuerza, para descolonizarse.  Oscar uso este derecho para liberar nuestro país de la condición ilegal del colonialismo que EEUU nos ha impuesto a la fuerza (invasión militar el 25 de julio de 1898).  ¡Por lo tanto, Oscar no es el criminal!  Fue EEUU que derrocó ilegalmente al gobierno de Puerto Rico recientemente establecido bajo la Carta Autonómica del 1897.

¡Oscar no tiene intención para derrocar el gobierno de EEUU, y todo el mundo lo sabe!  Esto ha sido el engaño de siempre que EEUU utiliza cuando quiere colocarse por encima de la ley.  Por eso es que, después de 30 resoluciones de la ONU pidiéndole que descolonice a PR, Oscar permanece en prisión.  ¿No seria un bien primer paso de parte de EEUU de liberar a Oscar como la ONU le ha pedido en 30 resoluciones?

El Presidente Obama es cómplice de este crimen.   Como un bien articulado abogado, él sabe que EEUU es la que es culpable del crimen.   ¡El no necesita una petición o un reclamo internacional para liberar a Oscar!  Por eso es que el presidente no perdido mucho respecto entre su país, al igual que las personas alrededor del mundo.

Estoy seguro que la organización del Premio Nobel de la Paz estará arrepentida de haberle otorgado ese premio.  ¡Yo estoy convencido que no se lo merecía!

Esta perfectamente claro que EEUU tiene toda la intención de mantener a Oscar en prisión para siempre como su símbolo de desafío que no quiere a Puerto Rico descolonizado.  Por eso es que es imprescindible que toda persona que no esta de acuerdo con su actitud de, “es como yo digo, o la carretera”  debe protestar de forma, “párate y ser contado.”   Y qué mejor sitúo para hacerlo que en la próxima vista sobre la descolonización de PR en la ONU. 

¡Si usted se siente orgulloso de tener cero tolerancias al abuso,  debe estar allí en junio de 2013!

Oscar López Rivera is the oldest political prisoner in the world.  The United States (US) government has held him in jail for 31 years, and has no plans of ever releasing him.  The international community has joined in asking the US President and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Barrack Obama to release him from jail; just like his own Secretary of State Hilary Clinton has suggested that other nations do.  She said, “One political prisoner in jail is one too many.”  In the mist of all these contradictions, propaganda, and election campaign spinning, is Oscar guilty of anything?

The US found Oscar guilty of trying to overthrow the US government.  The US government’s official charge was, “seditious conspiracy and weapons possession”.  Let’s take a close look at the facts.

The US charged Oscar of thinking about overthrowing the US government by force.  The US, however, not only had weapons, but used them against PR in 1898 in order to colonize her.  The US not only conspired of committing an international crime, she committed it too!  So how is it that the aggressor is now the victim?  There’s got to be a lot of smoking mirrors to do that!

On the contrary, the historical evidence is that the US government is without a reasonable doubt guilty of violating international law under United Nations’ Resolution 1514 (XV) of 1960.  Her crime is “possession of a colony”, which is considered by the international community to constitute a crime against humanity.  To make matters worse, the US has four counts of it (owns 4 colonies).  Puerto Rico is the oldest and most populated of all. 

The only reason the US has been able to be a fugitive of international justice is because she is powerful enough to do so.  Nevertheless, it is obvious to everyone that this 114 year policy bears no consistency with her claims of being the champion among nations for freedom, equality, and of course, justice for all!

Under international law, any colonized nation has to right to use whatever means necessary, including armed resistance, to gain her independence.   Oscar used this right to free our nation from the illegal colonial state that the US had imposed by force (military invasion on July 25, 1898).  Therefore, he is not the criminal!  It was the US that illegally overthrew the recently established Puerto Rican government enacted by “La Carta Autonómica of 1897.

Oscar has no desire to overthrow the US government, and everybody knows it!  This is the US government’s usual deception tactic when she wants to position herself above the law.  This is why, despite 30 UN resolutions calling for the US to decolonize PR, Oscar is still in jail.  Wouldn’t freeing Oscar be a good first step in making good on those 30 resolutions? 

President Obama is also an accessory to the crime!  As a very competent and articulate lawyer, he has to be aware that it is the US that has committed the crime.  He doesn’t need a petition or a massive international outcry to free Oscar.  This is why President Obama has lost a lot of respect from US citizens, as well as all people around the world!  I’m sure the Nobel Peace Prize organization regrets having given him that distinction.  It is obvious to me that he did not deserve it!

It is perfectly clear that the US intends to keep PR as her colony forever as her symbol of defiance that she does not want PR decolonized!  This is why, all people who do not agree with the US’ attitude of, “It’s my way or the highway” need to protest in a “stand up and be counted” fashion.  And what better place to do that than at the next UN hearing on Puerto Rico decolonization.
