estaríamos ejerciendo nuestro derecho internacional a nuestra autodeterminación
e independencia.

Some time ago, I wrote about that there is more than 3% of
us who want the decolonization of Puerto Rico.
Where are we?
Many of them only say it, but they don’t convert it into concrete
events to make it happen someday. My
friend Carmen said that we need to apply the same method that we used to become
who we are today to the decolonization of Puerto Rico.
I was a school teacher.
But that began as only a dream. I
had to then involve myself in many events during many years to become a
teacher. I had to make that dream come
true.
Those of us who believe that Puerto Rico must be
decolonized, must understand that without their efforts added to the rest of
us, it will never happen. The United
States government receives so much benefit from its 116 years of colonial
relationship with Puerto Rico that it will continue until Puerto Ricans protest
for their decolonization.
We must understand that the United Nation (UN) determined in
1960 that colonialism is a crime against humanity. Therefore, the United State government is
committing an international crime by maintaining Puerto Rico as its
colony. By peacefully protesting, we
would be exercising the right under international law to our self-determination
and independence. And if all of us who
believe that Puerto Rico must be decolonized peacefully protest, we would have
our tsunami.
Without our tsunami of people, the United States (US)
government will say that we are happy being its colony. The US government would call that democracy,
and not the fact that the majority of UN nations regard colonialism
illegal. Therefore, even if 100% of
Puerto Ricans favored it, it would still be an illegal political
relationship. The following link is for the afternoon session:

We invite all those who believe as the UN does that colonialism is a crime against humanity because it is a threat to world peace to peacefully protest at least 3 times a year until we decolonize Puerto Rico. The first one will be a march in Puerto Rico to the US Courthouse on March 22 – The Abolition of Slavery Day. The second one will be another march in Puerto Rico on the day before the UN hearing concerning the decolonization of Puerto Rico. The third one will be a protest in New York City on the day that the UN has its annual hearing about the decolonization of Puerto Rico. Of course, we will also support all demonstrations for the release of our Puerto Rican political prisoner Oscar López Rivera.
These protests are absolutely necessary, because 116 years of Puerto Rico colonialism means that the US government doesn't believe in justice for all!
