ONU ayuda mantener Puerto Rico en el closet / UN helps keep Puerto Rico in the closet

 

La Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) celebró su vista anual sobre la descolonización de Puerto Rico el lunes, 22 de junio de 2015.  El Comité de Descolonización, (también llamado el C-24) de la ONU usualmente publica su resolución de la vista el día siguiente.   La ONU todavía no ha publicado esta resolución en su página cibernética después de más de 2 meses.  Oprima el siguiente enlace para verificarlo.  http://www.un.org/en/decolonization/session_2015.shtml. Pero eso no es todo.

La ONU también publica el video de esta vista el día siguiente en su WEBCAST.  La ONU todavía no ha publicado el video de la sesión de la mañana de esta vista.  28 peticionarios hicieron sus presentaciones ante el Comité de Descolonización en la mañana.  ¿Por qué solo aparece publicado la sesión de la tarde en inglés y en el idioma original? Hemos notificado a la ONU sobre ambas irregularidades.  No hemos recibido respuesta alguna, ni los problemas han sido resueltos. 

La ONU está en su tercera década tratando de erradicar el colonialism del mundo.  No sabemos cómo escondiendo la vista 2015 sobre la descolonización de Puerto Rico ayuda a lograr su objetivo.  ¡Al contrario, lo que hace es ayudar al gobierno de Estado Unidos a mantener su colonia de 117 años!

Únete a nuestras 3 protestas anuales para obligar al gobierno de Estados Unidos a cumplir las 34 resoluciones pidiéndole que  descolonice inmediatamente a Puerto Rico.  ¡Tenemos que protestar porque los que tienen colonias no creen en la justicia para todos!

 

The United Nations (UN) held its annual hearing about the decolonization of Puerto Rico on Monday, June 22, 2015.  The UN’s Decolonization Committee (also known as the C-24) usually publishes the resolution of the hearing on the following day.  The UN has still not published this resolution on its website after more than 2 months.  Click on this link to see for yourself.  http://www.un.org/en/decolonization/session_2015.shtml.  But that’s not all.

We have notified the UN about both of these irregularities.  We have not received any word from the UN, nor have the problems been resolved.

The UN is in its third decade trying to eradicate world colonialism.  We don’t understand how hiding Puerto Rico’s colonial relationship in the closet helps in reaching its goal.  It does however, help the United States government continue to maintain Puerto Rico as its colony of 117 years.
