The majority
of Puerto Ricans, including the ones who say they want independence for Puerto
Rico, talk about Puerto Rico’s government. Does that, “supposed government”,
respond to Puerto Ricans, or the United States Government’s (USG) interests?
It certainly
does not represent in any way the interests of Puerto Ricans! That so-called
government should correctly be called the United States’ Colonial Administration
of Puerto Rico (USCAPR). Why don’t Puerto Ricans call it that?
They don’t,
because the USG has indoctrinated Puerto Ricans during 120 years of colonialism
to make them believe that the USCAPR is their government!
It’s been so
effective, that even the Puerto Ricans who fight for Puerto Rico independence do
so within the USG’s electoral system, which is specifically designed to keep us
colonized forever.
It’s been so
effective that instead of Puerto Ricans fighting together for independence, we
fight separately in all of the various struggles that are consequences of being
a United States (US) colony.
This book by Juan Antonio Corretjer explains why we can’t decolonize ourselves by being reformists. Click here to read the book online: https://www.keepandshare.com/doc/6462438/01lucha-por-la-independ-pdf-517k?da=y

If we all were
to fight for Puerto Rico independence, we would also be fighting for:
- Beaches for the People
- End of expensive US shipping
- End of the Fiscal Control Board
- Workers’ Rights
- No school closings
- No supposed debt
- No Vieques contamination
- No toxic ashes in Peñuelas
- No Playuela Project in Aguadilla, …
Paco Vázquez’s
documentary, The Culture of Ignorance, is precisely about this topic. I recommend
that people support this documentary, because it is a great way of taking part
in the resistance movement.
Join the
resistance to force the USG to comply with the United Nations’ Charter and its
37 resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the
Puerto Ricans.
Join also,
because those who have brainwashed us to keep us a colony forever don’t believe
in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/
