The United States (US) government (USG) laid a trap for Russia using Ukraine as bait to try to maintain Europe under the US' economic control. The USG, conversely, has failed to get:
1. The level of condemnation against Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine that it had hoped at the United Nations
2. Nations to respect the US’ economic sanctions imposed on Russia
3. Nations to continue to use only US dollars to buy oil

The US’ trap
will have the real effect of accelerating her own hegemonic decline, which she
was so desperately trying to avoid.
