United States (US) Major General Smedley Butler explained in his book (War is a Racket, 1935) how war is used by capitalists for profit. That is why the US has 800 military bases around the war. That is why the US topples militarily socialist governments around the world. That is why the US is the epicenter of the coronavirus with over a million deaths. And that is why 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens.

Puerto Rico enjoyed democracy for a few months, just before the US invaded her on July 25, 1898. The US didn’t care about Puerto Rico’s democracy, because she wanted Puerto Rico as her colony instead. A colony means profits for US oligarchs!

Puerto Rico has been a US colony for the past 124 years. More Puerto Ricans live away, than in Puerto Rico. And half of the Puerto Ricans who refuse to abandon our national territory, live in poverty!

The US has never complied with the United Nations (UN) Charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism for being a crime against humanity. Moreover, the US has ignored 40 UN resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The US, however, favors the independence of Taiwan. Why? The US knows that she is losing her hegemony, and feels that she must stop China’s rapid growth. The US wants a war with China, and supporting Taiwan’s independence will be her pretext.

Malaysia’s Ex-PM condemns US imperialism

After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, capitalism felt that it could now show its ugly face. Capitalism only creates wealth for the oligarchs. Capitalism, therefore is the farthest thing to democracy. The United States government (USG), however, uses the word “democracy” to make its oligarchs even richer. The USG talks about the rule based order (RBO). The RBO are rules that the USG unilaterally makes, and expects the world to follow. The RBO is entirely different than international law, which the USG never obeys. Here is one good example of that.

The United Nations (UN) considers colonialism a crime against humanity since 1945. The UN has asked the USG in 40 resolutions to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. Not only has the USG refused to do so, the USG says, from the other side of its mouth, that it supports the independence of Taiwan. After the collapse of the United Socialist Soviet Republic, the United States (US) and her allies (west) felt that they could now ignore the 99% of their people without the risk of a revolution. That was the birth of neoliberalism.

The west, against international law, sanctions today about 40% of the world’s population, with the excuse that they are not supposedly “democracies”. Yet, the US, right now, is stealing Syria’s energy. That’s the US’ definition of democracy!

And that is why the US has earned the reputation of being the biggest threat to peace, with her 800 military bases around the world!

The fact that the rich get richer, while the poor get poorer means that capitalism promotes a class war. The fact that the working class need unions to protect them means that capitalism promotes a class war. The fact that unions are not needed in a socialist economy, means that socialism works for the 100% of its people.

The oligarchs refuse to give up their anti-democratic capitalism. The people must decide whether they will fight the oligarchs to install a real democracy!

La compañía privada de energia eléctrica en Puerto Rico, LUMA Energy, quiere darle una imagen boricua, después de las fuertes críticas de la conferencia de prensa de su presidente, Wayne Stensby, que no habla español, el 18 de agosto de 2022, para explicar el servicio pésimo de su compañía.

Kingstown- August 22, 2022

Our delegation led by James Finies, arrived in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines last week as part of our sensitization program to let the world know about our struggle for emancipation and equality in Bonaire.

While in Saint Vincent, we had very important and fruitful discussions with Prime Minister Dr. Hon Ralph Gonsalves, and the Cabinet of ministers to give them a deeper understanding of our fight to be listed as a “Non Self-Governing Territory”. 

Our team also engaged the media, in radio and television interviews, where we addressed the general public directly, and engaged them in interactive call-in programs. The Government and people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines welcomed us warmly, fully supporting our fight against this form of Neo-colonialism, and supporting our right to self-determination.

We continue our fight for freedom, and we continue to thank the people of Bonaire for their support and commitment to our struggle.

United States (US) President Biden said that the west will turn Russia’s ruble into rubble for her invasion of Ukraine. Unfortunately for the west, it is now in a mess!

Trying to destroy socialism in Russia and China, the US has only managed to hasten her own hegemonic decline.

Many nations have refused to condemn Russia for the war in Ukraine, because they know that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization provoked it.

Many nations are willing to associate themselves with Russia and China for seeking win-win relationships, whereas the west always seeks relationships where the other side loses. Puerto Rico has been on the losing side for the past 124 years.

Conversely, the US steals 74 billion dollars a year from Puerto Rico, and is always trying to steal even more. The president of the now privatized electricity company, LUMA Energy, earns 1.1 million dollars a year. Los puertorriqueños están furiosos con la privatización de su sistema eléctrico vía LUMA Energy. ¡Los boricuas quieren que el contrato de LUMA se cancele inmediatamente! LUMA dijo que en realidad está haciendo un tremendo trabajo considerando el estado pésimo en que heredó el sistema eléctrico. Luma dijo que los apagones eran problema común desde antes de LUMA, y que tomará un tiempo para poner el sistema en condición óptima. LUMA dijo que, por primera vez, la “Federal Emergency Management Agency” está ayudando a pagar para la mejoría del sistema. Pero nadie hablo del problema detrás de LUMA.

Puerto Rico ha sido una colonia estadounidense por los últimos 124 años. Estados Unidos (EU) le roba a Puerto Rico más de 74 billones de dólares al año. Mas boricuas viven fuera, que dentro de su territorio nacional. LUMA said that it is actually doing a fantastic job, given the state of the power authority it inherited. LUMA said that blackouts were a very common problem before LUMA, and that it will take some time to get the system to optimal standard. LUMA said that, for the first time, the Federal Emergency Management Agency is helping to pay for the betterments needed by the electrical system. But no one talked about the problem behind LUMA.

Puerto Rico has been a United States (US) colony for the past 124 years. The US steals more than 74 billion dollars a year from Puerto Rico. More Puerto Ricans today live away, than in our national territory. Half of the Puerto Ricans living in Puerto Rico live in poverty. Contrast that with the fact that Wayne Stenby, the Chief Executive Officer of LUMA Energy, earns 1.1 million a year! If Puerto Ricans were able to keep the 74 billion dollars a year, Puerto Ricans could optimally govern ourselves exclusively for our people.

In order to maintain Puerto Rico as her colony, the US has refused to comply, for the past 77 years, with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism for being a crime against humanity. Aunque 100% de los boricuas queramos ser una colonia del GEU, eso está prohibido en la Carta de la ONU del 1945 por ser un crimen en contra de la humanidad.

The United States (US), of all people, lectured Rwanda about genocide, and the rule of law. The US, however, was the one that committed genocide on the Native Americans. The US is the one who wants to assassinate Julian Assange for revealing to the world that the US committed war crimes!

Five years prior to this video, the United Nations (UN) had prohibited colonialism in its Charter. The US, nevertheless, refused to comply!

On October 30, 1950, Puerto Rican nationalists staged an insurrection to overthrow the US from Puerto Rico. It was unsuccessful, but it did force the US to try to hide her colony from the international community.

2 years later, the US fooled the UN into believing that Puerto Rico had obtained self-government via, the “Commonwealth of Puerto Rico”. The following year, the US asked the UN to remove Puerto Rico from its list of colonies. Today, Puerto Rico does not appear on the UN’s list of colonies, although the UN holds a hearing every year for Puerto Rico decolonization.

The Puerto Rican nationalists attacked in 1954 the US House of Representative to prove to the world that Puerto Rico still remains a US colony.

El referendo boricuas esta la calle

José Enrique Meléndez dijo, en el plebiscito bajo consideración en la legislatura estadounidense, que no tendrá el estatus actual, porque no solucionaría el estatus colonia de Puerto Rico. Siguiendo esa misma lógica, el gobierno de Estados Unidos (GEU) no debería ser el que controle la descolonización de Puerto Rico, porque el GEU es el problema.
