Moreover, while China has already eradicated poverty in her nation, the US still has 38 million of her own citizens living in poverty! The US threatened Russia with nuclear war in 1962, because Russia installed missiles in Cuba that could strike the US. The US, nevertheless, feels that she has right to install offensive missiles to strike China from Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines. This is another excellent example of why the world views the US as the biggest threat to peace. Isn’t is paradoxical that the United Nations’ (UN) headquarters is located in the US?

The US wants to repeat her same proxy war against Russia in the East and South China Sea. The US’ imperial Monroe Doctrine applies everywhere in the world. David Petraeus proudly admits that the world is in a “US led world order”.

Is the Case of Bonaire imminent to Caribbean destabilization and Caribbean war?

Last week CARICOM held its 44^th Regular Meeting of Heads of Government in Nassau, Bahamas where the Europe based war-conflict in Ukraine was carried to the Caribbean, to the CARICOM forum and leadership. 

CARICOM has stood out and established itself as one or the major Caribbean Regional Organization that has helped build and shape the Caribbean we know today. Furthermore, CARICOM as the leading force of the unification of the Caribbean region, consisting of the youngest sovereign nations in the world, moving towards a clear vision of “Caribbean Integration.”

With this progressive vision of integration and hence the continuous dedication to unification of the Region, has made and maintained the Caribbean as the world's Region or Zone of Peace.

In this unsuspicious Caribbean peaceful life, we, as the island of Bonaire, has emerged as an imminent threat of war, a real threat to Caribbean peace since October 10, 2010 when the Netherlands Antilles was dissolved. On this ignoble symbolic Columbus Day our island, Bonaire was recolonized by illegal annexation and the forced undemocratic integration into the Dutch Constitution under unequal rights. Our autonomy was reversed, and the island returned to full colonial Dutch rule from The Hague in Europe.  It may seem that our territory is of no harm due to our size and population and political arena, might looks insignificant. Hence, with the acquisition of Bonaire, Holland forcefully expanded their Exclusive Economic Zone with an extra 200 nautical sea miles Exclusive Economic Zone of the Southern Caribbean Sea Basin. This expansion is seven times more EEZ than what they possessed before 2010 in the North Sea in Europe, in which they have absolute power by complete colonial rule from The Hague, Netherlands. Bonaire, only 50 miles off the coast of Venezuela and possess a deep-water-harbor and the Dutch continuous efforts in expanding the international airport beyond commercial requirements to military standards. Together with the continuous effort in buying properties around the airport has changed the Caribbean perspective towards an imminent war build-up by the unilateral Dutch political control and rule of our island.                                                                                                                                                       

In 2018 and 2019, it became very clear that the Western superpowers along with Holland kept the colonial narrative alive in the region using our islands geographical location as the main point, to provoke and incite a War in The Caribbean with Venezuela-boycott-and-conflict. (See our warning letters to CARICOM 2018, 2019)

After we blew the whistle on the Dutch government's very advanced plans and actions, where the Dutch Minister of Defense, Bijleveld, was ordered by the Dutch parliament to “seek support from France, Great Britain and USA to develop a robust defense and militarization of our islands”.

CARICOM leadership took our call for attention in the same 39th Heads of States Summit in Jamaica. They took a position and rejected this war build-up and provocation leading towards the destabilization of Venezuela and with an escalation hereof that will destabilize the whole tourist economy based Caribbean, in a war by the NATO and European superpowers in our peaceful Caribbean.

Today, 2023, the threat is not over as the same Dutch government that missed their chance by CARICOM resolve in 2018 stopping the war-propaganda build up against Venezuela seemingly are using another strategy with the same objective that is, to use our island’s strategic geographic position to continue the threat of war as it will be an economic capitalization and control of the region after all. The Dutch will remain safe in Europe meanwhile the Caribbean islands and civilization will be destroyed by colonial war for our natural resources one more time (as they did with the so-called discovery hence colonization of America, extermination of our ancestors both sides, our indigenous American civilization and our enslaved African forefathers)

Our concerns are that the Dutch will continue to be persistent in their efforts to incite and provoke a war at world level with their sights seemingly set on the Caribbean or South American emerging golden coast. Since 2018, aggression and provocations started and as of last September 2022 the Dutch Prime Minister Rutte in his address to the UN did everything he could to incite and provoke a world war based on the Ukraine armed conflict. 

It did not remain at that, but it continued with direct frontal world war-provocation statements and actions as such has provided their Rotterdam port to facilitate warships equipped with warplanes for the Ukraine war to land in Europe, as we want to warn the CARICOM leadership against. We recently warned CARICOM that the Dutch Apology for world-propaganda is directed to divide the CARICOM leadership that resolved to maintain a united integrated peaceful region. At the same moment, the Dutch promised millions to the Dutch Apology international propaganda campaign on slavery while our islands are under complete Dutch colonial rule and The Dutch recently financed the Ukranian war with 500 million to keep it going and escalating it to a world war and catastrophe.

We would like to state that it may not be a coincidence that at the same time the Caricom Summit is discussing agenda points on the “Dutch Apology” that the “Ukrainian President Zelenskyy will address CARICOM leaders''. So far, history has taught us that our history of enslavement of our ancestors and continuing colonization up to today is not by coincidence but a well-planned military strategy and intervention.

With this, we as colonized peoples and Caribbean citizens, feel that we have the duty for ourselves first to denounce this looming threat as we will be the first victims of the escalation and war and then our Caribbean brothers and sisters will be dragged into war and herewith wants to caution CARICOM to maintain the position of non-interference and peaceful resolution of disputes and to de-escalate hostilities and work towards a sustainable peace primarily for the Caribbean and consequently the world.

To prevent all of this Caricom countries should support Bonaire to summit a Resolution in the 77th General Assembly to put Bonaire back on the list of the United Nations of Non-Self-Governing-Territories.

EL ABUSO EN EL ALZA DE LA LUZ

Compatriota, otra vez más la Junta de Control Fiscal (JCF) nos atropella obligándonos a pagar una

deuda que no es nuestra, producto de la corrupción y el mal manejo de los fondos públicos.

Nos quieren cobrar la deuda de la Autoridad de Energía Eléctrica (AEE), imponiéndonos otro

impuesto mensual de 19 dólares o más en la factura de luz. Con la desfachatez de decirnos que

tendremos que pagarla por los próximos 35 años.

Arrastran a nuestro pueblo a la ruina con tal de complacer a los bonistas y demás colonialistas

estadounidenses. Este aumento, por las razones más abajo enumeradas, incrementará la inflación,

por lo tanto, sufriremos un mayor empobrecimiento en nuestras vidas.

Es fundamental que entendamos cual es la raíz que genera esta situación y sus consecuencias:

1. Esa deuda no es nuestra. El Congreso de los Estados Unidos tiene plena autoridad sobre

Puerto Rico. No tenemos soberanía como nación, y esa deuda es el resultado del sistema

colonial que nos han impuesto por más de 125 años. Por lo tanto, es al imperio a quien le

corresponde pagarla y no a nosotros.

2. Es importante que podamos entender también, que este nuevo impuesto nos lo quieren

atosigar con una narrativa dirigida a confundirnos y a dividirnos como pueblo, para que

nos dejemos trasquilar como mansos corderos y no protestemos ante éste ni ante los futuros

aumentos. Por ejemplo, nos dicen que el aumento se le impondrá solamente a ciertos

sectores. Que las personas que reciben subsidios, que tienen bajos ingresos o consumen

menos de 500kwh no se verán afectados, cuando la realidad es que una familia promedio

consume más de 800kwh y los efectos de ese aumento nos perjudicarán a todos.

3. ¿Quién puede olvidar el nefasto servicio de los mafiosos de LUMA, su incompetencia y

los 8 aumentos consecutivos que nos han atosigado en los últimos 18 meses? ¿Cuántos

aumentos más nos esperan tan pronto privaticen lo que queda de la Autoridad?

4. Detrás de toda privatización hay un gran fraude. Privatizan la Autoridad de Energía

Eléctrica para despojarnos de un bien nacional y ponerla en las manos de unos capitalistas

mezquinos cuyo único fin es el lucro. Una ganancia desproporcional que sacarán de nuestro

bolsillos.

5. Es tiempo de que dejemos de seguir siendo ingenuos creyendo en narrativas tecnicistas y

en una prensa al servicio de LUMA que bombardea y manipula la información. Porque la

realidad es que este impuesto está diseñado para asegurar el monopolio de las grandes

cadenas extranjeras arrastrando a la quiebra a los pequeños comerciantes. Todos sufrimos

los efectos de la inflación. Cuando se aumenten los costos de la luz a los comerciantes,

éstos le pasarán el aumento al consumidor elevando más la inflación y, por tanto, nuestro

sufrimiento al vernos obligados a hacer nuevos recortes en los gastos de cada día. Este

efecto en cadena en que, por un lado, aumentan los costos de todos losservicios y productos

y, por otro, hace que disminuya el consumo, trae consigo el cierre de comercios, recorte en

las jornadas de trabajos y pérdida de empleo.

6. Con este impuesto, la JCF crea un aumento en el costo de vida insostenible, no toma en

consideración nuestros bajos salarios, los aumentos ya existentes en el peaje, la gasolina,

la comida ni tampoco que en un momento inflacionario estos aumentos son echarle más

combustible a la inflación en que vivimos.

7. Este aumento sería detrimental para la supervivencia de nuestros pensionados, quienes ya

se encuentran en una situación precaria y ni siquiera pueden costearse los servicios básicos.

8. La condición colonial existente hace que cada día se nos haga más difícil que podamos

vivir en nuestra propia tierra. Esta medida es una estrategia más del imperio estadounidense

para destruirnos como nación fomentando el éxodo de los puertorriqueños y

reemplazándolos con emigrantes de otras nacionalidades. Prueba de esto, es la manera en

que el gobierno colonial beneficia con la ley 22 a millonarios capitalistas que se enriquecen

desplazando sectores pobres por otros de un nivel social y económico más alto

(gentrificación), destruyendo comunidades centenarias.

Compatriota, ama de casa, desempleado, trabajador, es tiempo de que salgamos a la calle a luchar

por lo nuestro. Nos imponen estos aumentos en la medida en que el pueblo no protesta, no se

manifiesta y no lucha por su justicia social e independencia. Los cambios verdaderos en la colonia

no se hacen con un voto cada cuatro años, sino luchando en la calle. No sigas validando este

sistema colonial capitalista que nos oprime. Recuerda que es allí donde reside la raíz de nuestros

problemas.

Butler alerted the US government of the planning of a coup by oligarchs to overthrow President Franklyn D. Roosevelt in order to save capitalism. Although Butler provided all the information needed to arrest and prosecute those oligarchs involved, nothing ever happened to them. Although Butler was the most decorated general at the time of his retirement from the military, and many people said that Butler had saved US democracy, he never even received a metal for that. Obviously, the US government supported that coup, and there is still evidence of that today.

The evidence is that 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, while 300,000 US citizens die needlessly every year of preventable causes. Moreover, 38 million US citizens today live in poverty, while the People’s Republic of China has already eliminated poverty, even though she has 4 times the population of the US! Therefore, oligarchs running the US government exclusively for their own interest is not a democracy. What do the people say?

90% (an “A”) of Chinese, a nation the US accuses of being authoritative, are satisfied with their government. Only 40% (an “F”) of US citizens, however, are satisfied with our government!

The US, the self-proclaimed “champion of democracy and human rights” is the one that allows 300,000 of her own citizens to die every year from preventable causes, and permits 38 million of her own citizens to live in poverty. Even US citizens have a problem with the US’ so-called “democracy’.

The People’s Republic of China, a nation that the US calls authoritative, has done the incredible job of lifting 800 million of her citizens out of poverty. That is 2 and a half times the entire population of the US! The Chinese, obviously, are 90% satisfied with their government. As far as I’m concerned, China’s government is the best textbook example of democracy that I have ever seen!

The oligarchs of the 13% of the population in favor of the war in Ukraine are terrorists and warmongers. If the world doesn’t permanently resist them, they will kill us all!

Just because a nation says that she is a democracy doesn’t necessarily mean that she is. The real test lies in what that government does.

The United States (US), for example, boasts that she is the “champion of democracy and human rights”. The US, on the other hand, permits 300.000 of her citizens to die every year from preventable causes. As if that wasn’t enough, the US permits 38 million of her citizens to live in poverty. Understandably, only 40% (an “F”) of US citizens are satisfied with our government. If the US is a democracy, her citizens don’t like it!

The People’s Republic of China, a nation the US calls authoritative, has done the incredible job of lifting out of poverty 800 million of her citizens. That is 2 and a half times the entire population of the US! The Chinese, obviously, are 90% satisfied with their government. As far as I’m concerned, China’s government is the best textbook definition of democracy that I have ever seen!

We first must be aware of the problem, before we can fix it. With the war in Ukraine continuing to escalate, our time is running out.

No US taxation without 100% representation!

The United States (US) military budget is bigger than the next 9 biggest military combined. The US has 750 military bases around the world. 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. And, the world considers the US the biggest threat to peace.

Although the US boasts of being the “champion of democracy and human rights”, 300,000 US citizens die every year from preventable causes. Moreover, 38 million US citizen still live in poverty, while the People’s Republic of China has lifted out of poverty 800 million of her citizens. That is 2 and a half times the entire population of the US!

The US, nevertheless, accuses China of being authoritative, although 90% of Chinese approve of their government. Contrary to Washington’s discourse, it is her own citizens who give her the failing grade of 40% approval!    

80% of the world does not go along with the US. Almost 100% of the nations of the world are in favor that the US stop her blockade of Cuba. And yet, the so-called “champion of democracy” refuses to comply with the will of the international community.

The US wants to continue with her imperialism now, tomorrow and forever. However, the new multipolar world that is emerging rapidly after the war in Ukraine will make that more and more difficult for the US.

The antiwar and anti-North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) rallies occurring around the world are important in order to stop the US from destroying the world via a nuclear war. It is, therefore, important that everybody who wants to stop the war in Ukraine and abolish NATO be included in the push for our new world order. If we don’t, we are, in effect, helping the US oligarchs to continue their imperialism forever. We don’t want to create a social club, we want to create a social change!

We can create justice for all only with intelligence.

80% of the world have a more favorable view of China and Russia than that of the US. In fact, the world regards the US as the biggest threat to peace!

If democracy means that a government represents the will of the people, then China’s win-win philosophy aligns better to it, than the US’ win-lose. Are you aware that 90% of Chinese approve of their government, while 40% of Americans approve of theirs?

China just wants to be all that she could be.

And that is why they have not joined the west to destroy Russia and China.

The recent devastation caused to Europe by the war in Ukraine has made Europeans want their nations to withdraw from NATO. They realize that the only one who benefits from that war is the US.

It is worth mentioning that 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, while over 300,000 US citizens die every year from preventable causes? Moreover, 38 million US citizens live in poverty, while China, having 4 times the US’ population, has already lifted 800 million of her citizens out of poverty. That is almost 2 and a half times the US’ entire population! On what basis does the US claim to be the champion of democracy and human rights?

The facts, however, show that the US is the champion of trying to us destroyed by a nuclear war. Those living in a democracy better use it, before it is too late.

Subject: Bonaire Case with reference to Dutch Apology on the Agenda of the 44th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government in Bahamas February 15th – 17th, 2023

Excellencies,

With reference to the above mentioned upcoming 44th Regular Meeting on the Agenda point “Dutch-Apology” we would like your Honorable Barnett cooperation for the possibility to submit this urgent important letter/communication with the CARICOM Heads of States at your earliest convenience.

In this respect, we would like to add the following arguments for further considerations and discussions and actions based on the CARICOM Integration and Reparations vision and trajectory based on the recent New Year’s statement of the incoming chairman of CARICOM, Hon. Philip Davis: “We all share common histories— trials, traumas, and triumphs. As regional neighbors, we have, through the years, encountered many of the same hurdles, beat down the same walls, and conquered the same challenges. And indeed, we owe it to ourselves and each other to recognize that we are and always have been in this together.” ….

The recent December 19th, 2022 “Dutch-Apology” is a voluntary confession and admission of the Dutch government’s crimes against humanity, our enslaved and colonized ancestors, and is an international legal and diplomatic mechanism for correction and reparation of the past crimes and the continuous Dutch colonization of Bonaire and Caribbean peoples in this present time.

1 - Bonerian ancestors as well as all other Caribbean islands were forced/made slaves by these colonizers. As with the sweat, blood and tears of our ancestors on Bonaire, whole enslaved families, men, women, children, and also convicted enslaved ancestors from other sister islands were sentenced to labor on the saltpans as punishment and were worked to death in these pans of Bonaire. With a very short life span, they cultivated, harvested and shipped thousands and thousands of tons of this “white gold” to Holland to grow their main economic fishing pillar, building their economy and enriching themselves to one of world richest nations. All by our ancestors’ free labor and short-lived lives in these horror salt-plantations.

2 - After the Dutch abolition law of 1863, our ancestors could not work for free for them anymore, the Dutch government spitefully decided to divide our island in five big parts sold our ancestors lands to Europeans in an auction in 1868 and abandoned our ancestors to fend for themselves.                                                                                                                                   

3 - Our peoples, on all levels were systematically and premeditated denied of all historical information on our slavery past and history as it was never mentioned nor was put in our school curriculum that is up today controlled and imposed by the Dutch Education Ministry.  

Upon the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles in 2010 Bonaire was illegally annexed by the Dutch which resulted et al in the following:

1- Opened borders for European Dutch exodus that doubled the Bonaire population in a decade, reducing the native Bonerians to less than 40%, minority on their own island.

2- Reversing education policies and laws, denying our children human rights to education in our own native language, Papiamento that is one of only two Caribbean native official languages that survived colonization. 

3- Replacing, changingour demography, lifting all small-market protections to open market, open pricing, wiping out all our local businesses replacing them with Dutch Europeans and others. 

4- Demoting and replacing all our local head of departments with Dutch immigrants taking over all local institutions and leadership positions.    

5- Raising and imposing taxes to the level of Holland in Europe while our income is less than half of the income in Holland, Europe – land and property taxes increased by over 800%, destitute locals from their inherited lands and food resources. Creating and maintaining social inequality, pushing over 60% of the Bonerian population under the poverty line.

6- After the 2010 illegal annexation of Bonaire, Holland forcefully expanded their Exclusive Economic Zone with an extra 200 nautical sea miles Exclusive Economic Zone of the Southern Caribbean Sea Basin, an expansion of seven times more EEZ what they possessed before 2010 in the North Sea in Europe, in which they have absolute power by complete colonial rule from The Hague, Netherlands.

7. The threat to the Caribbean as a peaceful region is real; recalling the 2018 and 2019 Dutch war-provocation re the Venezuela-embargo/sanctions as previous letters to CARICOM; With Bonaire 50 miles off the coast of Venezuela and possess a deep-water-harbor and the Dutch continuous efforts in expanding the international airport beyond commercial requirements to military standards and continuous efforts in buying properties around the airport. 

8- By instruction of Dutch government a group of the most decorated Dutch constitutional and legal experts researched and reported in June 2022 (see attached fact-check report), that the UN never confirmed decolonization of the Netherlands Antilles and the Dutch gave their own interpretation to article 73, a distorted process, as we never reached the UN mandated full measure of self-governance or mandated equality and freedom.

We the People of Bonaire are willing to accept the Dutch government apology with the demand for reparations in the form the peoples right to self-determination based on the following terms:

1: To re-enact our Bonaire people’s right to a just self-determination and decolonization process and trajectory by restoring our inalienable fundamental human rights by legal/political positioning, re-listing of Bonaire as United Nations Non-Self-Governing-Territory according to articles 1, 55, 73 and 103 of the Charter of the United Nations and resolutions 742, 747, 945, 1514 and 1541 that affirm the inalienable rights of the people of Bonaire to self-determination and in compliance with the Bonaire people’s international legal instruments: United Nations Charter, United Nations Decolonization Declaration, The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, International Covenant on All Forms of Racial Discrimination, United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

2: To start an international and CARICOM/UN guided process towards re-acquiring of the rights of the Bonaire peoples to their inherited auctioned lands.                                                                                                                                       

3: Immediate stop of the current/ongoing de-population and eradication of Bonaire people’s demography and their culture, language and identity.

We are calling on the CARICOM for solidarity and support for reparations for the Bonerian Peoples.
