EEUU recomienda seguir montado en la machina colonial

Task Force recomienda dos plebiscitos de status en Puerto Rico - Primerahora.com

Here you will be able to see how the President’s Task Force totally disregards UN Resolution 1514 (XV) by:

·         Recommending that a plebiscite be used to decolonize Puerto Rico rather than transferring  sovereignty to Puerto Rico first before the Puerto Ricans begin to make their own decisions
·         Wanting the United States Government (USG) to handle the decolonization process instead of having the UN handle it (decolonization is an international and not a domestic affair)
·         Wanting to decide for the Puerto Rican People their future instead of having the Puerto Rican totally doing that.  The USG wants to exclude from the decolonization process, the involvement of the over 4 million Puerto Ricans who are not residents of Puerto Rico (NRPR).  Many of the NRPR left to escape the horrible economic conditions caused by the US imposed colonial relationship (it is the Puerto Rican People who have the right to self-determination not the imperial power that control them)

Once again, we see the USG ignoring the laws it wants to, simply because, it has the power to do so.  But isn’t that what the USG criticizes other governments of doing.  Where is the respect for the rule of law?  Or are American citizens expected to blindly accept what the government says.  Didn’t we accuse the Nazi of that too?

We hope to see you this coming June 2012!

US Plan: Puerto Ricans fighting among themselves

Statement from the PDP President, Hector Ferrer Rios on HR 2499 - YouTube

In this video, you will see how our three political party leaders take three separate proposals to Congress for it to decide our political future.  What is most pitiful is that they really do believe that Congress is willing help us solve our colonial problem!  All three of them are lawyers.  This fact exemplifies dramatically the disastrous effects of 113 years of colonialism. What a crime done to a people!  These educated Puerto Ricans are incapable of thinking outside the box that they have been programmed to operate within!  This is why they willfully engage in such a ridiculous and wasteful effort that only serves to propagate our problem.  But of course, from Congress' point of view, that is precisely the purpose of this charade.

These leaders should have instead talked amongst themselves to see what agreement they could come up with.  Then, they should have informed Congress of their unified decision.  Congress would then have the opportunity to decide whether it will accept or reject our decision.  Should Congress decide to reject it, then it is time for the UN to get involved.

Do Puerto Ricans dare take such a courageous course of action?  Those of us who believe we would, have a date on June 2012.  See you there!

Result of 113 years of PR colonialism

Advierten que Puerto Rico está cerca de ser un narcoestado - El Nuevo Día

113 years of colonialism has taken us to this point.

Puerto Rico does not control its boaders, yet she is close to being listed, according to United Nation's (UN) standards, as a narco-state.  If being a United States (US) colony is so wonderful, why does Puerto Rico rank high in so many negative areas?  Unfortunately, the answer is that colonies are not designed to benefit from the relationship.  And, that's the point!

Puerto Rico needs to forge her own destiny according to her values of fairness, respect and prosperity for all her citizenry without any interference from any other country.  That is what the overwhelming majority of countries do.  Why shouldn't Puerto Rico do the same?

Join us at the UN's Puerto Rico Decolonization Hearing on June 2012.  It's that urgent!  Please spread the word!

Why don't some Puerto Ricans listen?

Obama admite que P.R. es una colonia - YouTube

The President chooses the term "territory" instead of using the word "colony" used by the reporter.  He states that Puerto Rico's current situation is a complicated one, but never admits that the United States (US) is totally responsible for this complication.

Puerto Rico decolonization can't happen with all this dancing around the fundamental components of the problem, and proposing solutions based on illusions.  This is, however, the US Government's way of maintaining this complication forever.  For whose benefit?

It's obvious that many Puerto Ricans can't see the obvious, as long as Puerto Rico remains militarily occupied!

Obama’s support only perpetuates PR status quo

BBC News - Barack Obama pledges support in rare Puerto Rico visit

President Obama is part of the problem.  He pledged support of a referendum to decolonize Puerto Rico.  The President must be aware that a referendum goes against International Law for decolonization.  The United States (US) has never accepted the fact that colonialism is an international affair and not a domestic one.  Does anyone believe that slavery would have been abolished if left to the slavemasters?

If President Obama really wants to decolonize Puerto Rico, he could support the 29 United Nations (UN)resolutions (the most recent: June 20, 2011).  Anything less than that would be pretending to be a friend of the Puerto Rican People residing in the 50 states in order to win his re-election.

The US rushed to war with Irak because she had ignored a long list of UN resolutions.  But, she's not the only one!

Don’t US citizens have a right to their opinions?

Dissent Is Not A Crime, or is it?

In the United States, you are not supposed to be punnished for what you think.  But yet, these Puerto Ricans were given 70-year sentences for exactly that!  Where is the "justice for all"?

Hear Oscar López Rivera’s lawyer speak about the injustice done to him!  You will have no doubt that the US’ position is to keep Puerto Rico as her colony forever.
