The only reason why the United States (US) supports Taiwan’s independence from the People’s Republic of China is because it wants to maintain US imperialism forever. If the US really believed in a nation’s right to self-determination, why doesn’t the US support Puerto Rico’s independence?

On the contrary, the US militarily invaded Puerto Rico 125 years ago to make her its colony. The US has refused to comply with 42 United Nations resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The US today is unconditionally supporting the artificial colonial settler state of Israel to commit genocide against the Palestinians in their own homeland of Palestine. Do real democracies commit genocide?

The US committed genocide against the indigenous people of America in order to establish its own artificial colonial settler state in America.

If the US were a democracy, would it have 38 million Americans living in poverty today, while 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens? China, on the other hand, has already eradicated her poverty, despite having 4 times the US’ population!

And if the US were a democracy, why are only 40% of its citizens satisfied with our government, while 90% of Chinese are satisfied with theirs?

The US seems determined to try to remain hegemon, as evidenced by its proxy wars in Ukraine and Gaza, and its plan to use Taiwan as a pretext to go to war with China too.

The good news is that the US has practically isolated itself via its unconditional support for Israel’s genocide against the Palestinians in their own homeland of Palestine.

US President Biden asserts that the People’s Republic of China is a dictatorship, and that the US is the champion of democracy. The facts, however, prove the contrary.

38 million US citizens lives in poverty today, while China has already eradicated her poverty since 2020, despite having 4 times the US’ population. Since the US has the biggest economy in the world, what is it doing with its money?

The money generated in the US is going to its oligarchs. That is why 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans. That is also why the US is fighting today a proxy war in Ukraine, and another one in Gaza. And that is why the US is planning a war against China, using Taiwan as a pretext. Can you imagine all that money from Russia, the Middle East, and China going to US oligarchs? Now, that’s the real American Dream!

Even if we were to assume that the US is a democracy, it would, at best be, a failing one. Only 40% of US citizens are satisfied with our government, while 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their government. Therefore, China, and not the US, embodies more accurately the notion of a “government of, by, and for the people”!

Conversely, Only 40% of US citizens are satisfied with our own home grown brand of “US exceptionalism”!

It is worth mentioning that the US has consistently refused to comply with numerous United Nations (UN) resolutions asking it to stop its illegal economic blockade against Cuba, and has also refused to comply with 42 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.   

All democratic Americans should also fight against our own imperialism.
