Who’s going to force PR decolonization?

The United States (US) has repeatedly refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ (UN) resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. These annual hearings are hidden from the public by the US’ so-called “free press”, so as to try to hide the US’ crime against humanity. Because most people are oblivious to Puerto Rico’s case, the US pretends that it cares about Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence. Taiwan, as part of the People’s Republic of China, and which the US recognizes, has been prosperous.

Puerto Rico, on the other hand, has been exploited, as is evident by two thirds of Puerto Ricans having abandoned our homeland in search of a better life. Half of those remaining on the island live in poverty.

This year’s UN’s hearing will be on Thursday, June 20, 2024. It will go unnoticed as usual in the US media, and another UN resolution will say the same as all the previous 42 resolutions. Who will enforce it?

Since the US is an oligarchy, we will have to enforce it by engaging in resistance, just like the world is doing today against Israel’s and the US’ genocide, in order to obligate the US to comply with international law.

The US wants to win, even if it means violating international law. Here are just a few examples.

The US has maintained an illegal economic blockade against Cuba for over 60 years.

The US says that it supports Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence, while at the same time, has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

And today, the US is unconditionally supporting the artificial colonial settler state of Israel in its genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine.

Win-lose is what an empire does.

¿Y, cómo puede existir la democracia en Boriken cuando el mismo EU dice que respalda el derecho inalienable a la auto-determinación e independencia de Taiwán, pero al mismo tiempo ha ignorado consistentemente a 42 resoluciones de la Organización de Naciones Unidas demandándole que devuelva inmediatamente la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños?

Tendríamos que hacer resistencia permanente en la calle, y nunca en las urnas, si queremos democracia de verdad en Boriken

Deberíamos unirnos a la resistencia que está haciendo la mayoría de las naciones para aportar también en la creación de un nuevo orden mundial multipolar.

How could the US be a democracy if it is only representing 1% of its citizens?

And, how could the West call itself “the garden”, when it intentionally tries to destroy all those who live in the so-called “jungle” who dares to resist its imperialism?
