Detrás del apagón

De lo que no se habló fue del problema de fondo. Ese problema es que Puerto Rico ha sido una colonia de Estados Unidos (EU) por los últimos 127 años. 6 millones de puertorriqueños han abandonado su territorio nacional, y la mitad de los 3 millones de personas en Puerto Rico vive en la pobreza. El caos del sistema eléctrico es parte de la planificación estadounidense para continuar con la gentrificación de Puerto Rico.

Es importante destacar que EU no es el campeón de la democracia como alega. EU ha consistentemente ignorado 42 resoluciones de la Organización de Naciones Unidas demandando la devolución inmediata de la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños. 

A pesar de eso, la mitad de los puertorriqueños piensan que EU nos salvará si Puerto Rico se convierte en el estado 51 de la Unión. Eso esta totalmente equivocado por su historia de ser un estado colono colonial que cometió genocidio para establecerse en America del norte, y actualmente esta respaldando el genicidio en contra de la gente indigena en Palestina en contra de la ley internacioanal.

I would argue, instead, that the US has never been a democracy, because it is an artificial colonial settler state that committed genocide against the indigenous people of North America. And today, it is unconditionally supporting the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine against international law!

Today, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, 40 million Americans live in poverty, and 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck. How could the US claim to be the champion of democracy, when the People's Republic of China has eradicated poverty, despite having 4 times the US' population?

Moreover, the US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations' resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory in the meantime, and half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty. 

The US can't lose what it never had.
