The US is not a democracy

The majority of Americans, 63%, support a third political party choice, because we feel unrepresented by the Democratic and the Republican Parties.

The majority of US citizens do not want our government to be financing today the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine against international law.

The majority of US citizens do not want our government to allow 38 million Americans to live in poverty, and 60% to live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens.

The majority of US citizens do not want our government to continue its more than 60 year economic blockade against Cuba against international law.

And, the majority of US citizens do not want our government, against international law, to be ignoring 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

The US is an empire.

The US would like you to believe that the Russian Federation is isolated. On the contrary, the US is the one that is isolated, as the world considers it the biggest threat to peace. Few could argue today otherwise, as the US has been financing the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine against international law.

Cuba, which has been under an illegal US’ economic blockade for over sixty years, recently became a BRICS’ partner. What could be more democratic than that?

Finally, Puerto Rico could have her long awaited opportunity to free herself from 126 years of US imperialism. With the new multipolar world order in place, the 9 million Puerto Ricans worldwide would have a greater chance of success in engaging in permanent resistance to force the US to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

How could the United States (US) claim to be the champion of democracy, when the nation it calls undemocratic, the People’s Republic of China, has less inequality than the US? China has already eradicated her poverty, while the US still has 38 million Americans living in poverty, and 60% living from paycheck to paycheck! The Americans themselves say that we are only 33% satisfied with our government, while over 90% of Chinese say that they are satisfied with theirs!

How could the US claim to be the champion of democracy, when it is unconditionally financing today the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine against international law?

And, how could the US claim to be the champion of democracy, when it has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

The West has never been a democracy!

While the US accuses other nations as non-democratic, it is the US that is considered by the world as being the biggest threat to peace. After World War II, the US had less inequality than in Europe. Today, the US has more inequality than in Europe. The American Dream has vanished, and a US oligarchy has emerged.

That should be of no surprise, because both US Major General Smedley Butler and US President Eisenhower warned the world that the US was using war as a racket to make oligarchs richer.

How could anyone say that the US is a democracy, when it is financing the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine, against international law?

How could anyone say that the US is a democracy, when it insists on continuing its illegal blockade against Cuba, against the will of 97% of the international community?

Do you know that the US only makes up less than 5% of the world’s population? That means that there is only one of the 10 richest men in the world who represents the 95% of the world’s population. President Obama is today criticizing Trump for calling Puerto Rico an island of garbage. The fact of the matter is that Obama did nothing to comply with those numerous UN’s resolutions to decolonize Puerto Rico. On the contrary, he signed the Oversight Fiscal Control Board to impose even more austerity on Puerto Ricans in Puerto Rico. How could a colony that is exploited exclusively for the US Empire acquire a debt? It can only via the US’ “Rules Based Order”.

Are you aware that two thirds, 6 million, of Puerto Ricans live away from our national territory, and that half of those living in Puerto Rico live in poverty? Are you aware that more Puerto Ricans died in the Vietnam War, than any of the other soldiers of the 50 states of the Union? It’s not that Puerto Ricans are more patriotic than those of the 50 states, it’s that Puerto Ricans are more economically deprived, due to 126 years of US colonialism!

Dr. Jill Stein has on her platform the abolition of US imperialism, and that’s why the Democrats and Republicans want her out of the presidential race. They, however, are not being democratic about that. That’s exactly the point!

Obama, during his presidency, continued to throw Puerto Ricans under the bus by doing nothing to end United States’ (US) colonialism in Puerto Rico.

Obama knows that colonialism is a crime against humanity. He also knows the Puerto Rico has been a US colony for the past 126 years. He also knows that a colony is not a democracy. Why should Puerto Ricans vote, when we live in a colony?

If Americans really want democracy, we must not vote for neither the Red nor the Blue. The Green Party is the only one that addresses the needs and aspirations of the majority of US citizens.

Red and Blue only serves the well to do.
