History is
the least liked subject in United States (US) schools. 83% of US high school
graduates never take another history course. Therefore, the lies that students
learn in schools up to high school stay with them forever, without ever being
questioned.

The importance
of learning an honest account of history is that we could then understand how it
has shaped us into who we are today. A distorted history will thus create
confusion among people, and lead us to immobility. That is perfect for the 1% of
the US citizens who make a huge profit from the ignorance of the 99% of us.
Therefore, the
US government permitting bad history in its schools has nothing to do with democracy,
liberty, and justice for all. I hope that that makes people think!
Is US exceptionalism
an illusion?
