US has a legal responsibility to decolonize PR

Who really expects that the USG would ever do that, when it was the USG that militarily invaded Puerto Rico 124 years ago to make her its colony in the first place?  

Are you aware that more Puerto Ricans today live away, than in our national territory? And, are you also aware that half of the Puerto Ricans who have refused to abandon our homeland live in poverty!

If US Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez really wants to help Puerto Ricans, why isn’t she talking about forcing the USG to comply with 41 United Nations resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? Doesn’t she know that her government is committing a crime against humanity?

Our problem will not be resolved in the US Congress. To solve it, the 9 million Boricuas worldwide will have to engage in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with international law. US is a plutocracy, and that is why she has no desire to help the 99% of us.

US must be pushed to obey the law!
