Elections
would be prohibited by the United States (US), if Puerto Rico could be decolonized
via the electoral process. This is why having so-called “democratic elections”
in a colony is insane! Obviously, the only purpose of that is to camouflage 125
years of US colonialism in Puerto Rico.
That camouflage
is glaringly apparent when one realizes that the US has consistently refused to
comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return
Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. Is that what a so-called “champion
of democracy” should do?
The US has
been a rouge state from the very beginning. The US committed genocide against
the indigenous people of North America to establish its colonial settler state.
This is why the US unconditionally supports the artificial colonial settler
state of Israel in its genocidal campaign against the indigenous people of Palestine
in their own homeland. Is that what a so-called “champion of democracy” should
do?
The US has
800 military bases all around the world, and its military budget is ten times
more than that of the next 10 nations combined!
38 million Americans, however, live in poverty. Is that what a so-called
“champion of democracy” should do?
The US wants
wars against Russia, China, and Iran, because they want to use their
sovereignties to benefit their own citizens. China, for example, has already eradicated
her own poverty, despite having 4 times the US’ population. The US’ biggest
achievement, on the other side of the spectrum, is that 9 of the 10 richest men
in the world are US citizens. Is that what a so-called “champion of democracy”
should do?
That was what
US Major General Smedley Butlers’ warned the world about in his book, WAR IS A
RACKET. Elections in Puerto Rico and the US are a racket too!
US’
democracy is a racket!
