One would think that the US government, out of appreciation to what it acknowledged in this article, would have helped Puerto Rico with the urgency that it required after Hurricane Maria. But, it did not. Why?

What the article doesn’t say is that Puerto Rico is a US colony. Did you know that up until 1967 (Loving vs. Virginia), 38 states of the United States had laws prohibiting interracial marriages punishable by fines and jail sentences?

¿Por qué los boricuas tienen una ciudadanía diferente?

Cuando Juan Mari Bras pidió al gobierno de Puerto Rico su pasaporte boricua después de que el gobierno de Estados Unidos le aceptó su renuncia a la ciudadanía estadounidense, USA revocó su misma decisión de haberla aceptada en menos de 24 horas.  ¿Qué quiere decir eso?

Según el deportista boricua independentista José Fufi Santori Coll, eso quiere decir que por ahí es donde le duele. Si queremos descolonizar a Puerto Rico, tenemos que exigir nuestra propia ciudadanía boricua y renunciar la ciudadanía incompleta estadounidense.

Eso, sumando al hecho de que el gobierno de Estados Unidos viola la Carta Magna de la Organización de Naciones Unidas y sus 36 resoluciones pidiéndole que le devuelva la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños le pondría una presión significativa al gobierno de Estados Unidos para cumplir con la ley internacional. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0
