Which nation enjoys 91% citizens’ support?

The United States (US) says that it is the champion of democracy. But, what does US citizens say? In 2022, Americans said that we were only 39% satisfied with our government. The citizens of the People’s Republic of China, however, said that they were 91% satisfied with their government. Are you aware that while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, 38 million Americans live today in poverty, and 60%, what used to be the middle class, live from paycheck to paycheck. That describes a US oligarchy, and not a US democracy!

The New York Times’ 1992 article by Patrick E. Tyler, “US strategy plan calls for insuring that no rivals develop” is the neoliberal out of control locomotive that threatens our very existence today. What does that have to do with democracy? This is why the world regards the US as the biggest threat to peace. 

While the US follows its plan to try to remain hegemon, 38 million Americans live in poverty, and 60%, formerly the middle class, live from paycheck to paycheck. China, however, pursuing a win-win relationships among nations, has already eradicated her poverty, despite having 4 times the US’ population. Only 33% of Americans are satisfied with our government, as 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans. Conversely, 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their government, which proves who’s the real champion of democracy!

Under both Democratic and Republican administrations, the US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. Thus, the US does not respect the rule of law, international law, or its very own Constitution!

Contain China means contain democracy!

The global south, which make up 85% of the world’s population, supports Palestine, whereas only 15%, the global north, supports US imperialism. This is why, the world regards the US as the biggest threat to peace.

The US is even the biggest threat to its own people, as 38 million Americans live in poverty, and 60%, what used to be the middle class, live from paycheck to paycheck. And while all that happens, 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. That is, instead, being the champion of oligarchy!

The People’s Republic of China, who does support international law, has already eradicated poverty since 2020, despite having 4 times the US’ population!

Moreover, the US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The US, therefore, and under both major political parties, has become a pariah state!

The US so-called “Rules Based Order (RBO)” is an attempt to replace international law, so that the US could do whatever it wants. What is today happening in Gaza is the true face of the US’ RBO.

The US is the champion of pariah states.

BIG endorses Bonaire’s decolonization

Baku Initiave Group (BIG) calls on Netherlands to respect freedom of Caribbean Islands

The Baku Initiative Group (BIG) that recently signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Bonaire Human Rights and Bonaire Movement for Change has called on the Dutch government to respect the freedom of the peoples it has long held under colonial rule and to stop creating obstacles to the islands' struggle for independence within international organizations.

The Dutch government recently submitted a new program to the country's parliament. The program was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers and must now be discussed and approved in parliament.

The statement by the BIG reads:

“The Netherlands, a colonial country for centuries, failed to show even the slightest indication that it would respect the freedom of the peoples it has held in captivity and remove the barriers it has imposed on the independent living of territories located tens of thousands of kilometers away.

The parties forming the new Dutch government - the Freedom Party, the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy, the New Social Contract, and the Farmer-Citizen Movement - claim to fight for ‘freedom’ in their charters, yet continue to stifle the freedoms of the peoples of the 6 states located in the Caribbean - Aruba, Curacao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba.

The new program submitted by the government claims it will implement legislative and strategic initiatives aimed at increasing the welfare of the islands based on the principles of good governance and cooperation in Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba. A General Administrative Law will be prepared for this, which envisages the application of the ‘comply and explain’ principle.

Thus, the new right-wing nationalist Cabinet of Ministers of the Netherlands is preparing to continue the colonial policy of the previous government. Although the government claims that some of these islands have autonomous status, in fact these territories have been made completely dependent on the Kingdom of the Netherlands. These islands have even been removed from the UN list of territories to be decolonized.

An international conference titled ‘Bonaire’s pathway from Baku through UN General Assembly to self-determination’ was held in Baku on August 22 this year to bring the real situation in the Dutch colonies to the attention of the world community.

These peoples fighting for their freedom, especially the island of Bonaire, plan to submit a draft resolution to the UN General Assembly in October this year to re-include it in the UN list of territories to be decolonized.

The Baku Initiative Group demands that the Dutch government respect the freedom of peoples and not create obstacles to the islands’ struggle for independence within the framework of international organizations.”

No US democracy without a middle class

Ukraine is not about democracy

The US, not only wants to destroy Russia because of her socialism, but also because it wants the important minerals found in Ukraine.

US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said that the US is very concerned about depending on China, whose value we may not share, for rare earth minerals and materials. She was referring to the US’ imperialism of win- lose relationship with other nations, versus China’s socialism of win-win. This can be seen today with the US’ unconditional support of the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine, against international law, and similarly, with the US’ consistent refusal to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

While 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, 38 million Americans live in poverty, and 60% live from paycheck to paycheck. No wonder only 33% of Americans are satisfied with our government! China does not share this value!

That is why China has already eradicated poverty, despite having 4 times the US’ population. And that is why 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their government. If that is not democracy, I don’t know what is!

If the people want democracy, we must organize ourselves to engage in permeant resistance to create it.

EU mantiene a Puerto Rico engañándonos que nuestra descolonización tiene que darse vía un proceso de elecciones políticas y plebiscitos controlado por el gobierno estadounidense. La verdad es que EU mantiene a Puerto Rico colonizada por la fuerza bruta, como también usa esa misma fuerza para apoyar incondicionalmente el genocidio en contra de la gente indígena de Palestina, en contra de la ley internacional.

La única forma para lograr nuestra independencia seria que los 9 millones de boricuas mundialmente hagamos resistencia permanente para obligar a EU a cumplir con la ley internacional.

La democracia estadounidense no existe. ¡EU es un imperio!
