Puerto Rico has been a US colony since 1898. The US has ignored 41 United Nations’ (UN) resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. More Puerto Ricans live today away from our national territory. And, half of those who have refused to abandon our homeland, live in poverty. Where is the “American Dream” for the 99% of US citizens?

The US, however and hypocritically, favors Taiwan’s right to self-determination and independence. Both the US and the UN recognize Taiwan as part of the People’s Republic of China. Therefore, the US is committing crimes, as she knowingly violates the sovereignty of both China and Puerto Rico!

We must all oppose US wars, because they destroy democracies around the world.

Moreover, the world consistently considers the US the biggest threat to peace according to Gallup polls.

85% of the world today is not supporting the US’ proxy war against Russia. The remaining 15% of nations that are, and that have been severely hurt by supporting the US, are now divided on whether to continue to do so.

China behaves more democratically than the West.

It is important to highlight the undemocratic nature and the fragrant disregard for a nation’s sovereignty at the UN. Although almost 100% of the UN member states vote repeatedly against the US’ illegal blockade against Cuba, and against 125 years of US colonialism in Puerto Rico, these crimes continue for more than 6 decades and a century against the will of the international community.

Therefore, the so-called US’ “Rules Based Order” (RBO) is not only illegal under international Law, but it is furthermore rejected by the majority of UN member states.

This is why the US prefers to speak about her “RBO”, instead of international law. The US does that in the hope that some people might naively get the impression that “RBO” is the same as international law.     

Although the US claims to be the champion of democracy and human rights, the fact of the matter is that the US is undemocratic, and commits crimes against humanity all the time!

The war in Ukraine has accelerated the world’s movement towards democratization by reducing its dependence on the United States’ (US) dollar.

US is isolating herself

The US is spread out too thinly today between the proxy war in Ukraine, the preparation to fight the People’s Republic of China, and the illegal military occupation of eastern Syria. The US is further at a disadvantage by her crashing financial system, and the superiority of modern military equipment at the disposal of nations that the US considers enemies.
