“Desde la Prisión: ¡EN LIBERTAD!”

There are currently 3 Puerto Ricans incarcerated in the United States (US) for wanting Puerto Rico (PR) decolonization.

The fact that Puerto Rican political prisoners receive 70 years sentences unmasks the real desire of the US Government.

The US says that she is willing to grant PR whatever political status Puerto Ricans want, but at the same time, those who want independence are given 70 year prison sentence.  Do you believe what the US says, or what she does?

Isn’t it ironic that President Obama, a Nobel Peace Prize Recipient, has not yet released the three political prisoners, nor has he moved forward to decolonize Puerto Rico via a serious and respectful process?  It is precisely because colonialism is a threat to world peace that the United Nations has jurisdiction over the matter.  If Obama does release a political prisoner at this point (probably Mr. Oscar López Rivera), it is obvious that he would be doing it to get the Latino votes, rather than doing what is honorable!

Please take the time to write to our political prisoners.  I recently did.  I felt great knowing that my letter gave Mr. Norberto Gonzalez Claudio “more strength and energy” to survive his imprisonment.

  1. Oscar López Rivera, 87651-024, FCI Terre Haute, PO Box 33, Terre Haute, IN 47808
  2. Avelino González Claudio, 09873-000, FCI Ashland, PO Box 6001, Ashland, KY 41105
  3. Norberto González Claudio, 09864-000, Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility, 950 High Street, Central Falls, RI 02863-1506

Support the decolonization of Puerto Rico!  We hope to see you in June 2012!
