Puerto Rico is at the top of the list!

Have you ever wondered why such a small island of about 4 million people could be at, or near the top of the list of so many bad categories?

  • crime
  • alcoholism and drug abuse
  • unemployment
  • poverty
  • school drop out
  • And so on…
  • underground economy

  • mental illnesses

I won’t bore you with the statistics, because I know that you can get the specific numbers from the Internet and verify these facts for yourself.  I‘d rather discuss why.

If being a colony is such a good thing, why are we first in the worst?  Are Puerto Ricans just inherently inferior people, or is there some other explanation?

The colony of Puerto Rico (PR) is for the benefit of the government of the United States.  Nothing that is done in PR is for the benefit PR residents.  But that is the nature of a colonial relationship.  If it weren’t, why have a colony?

Puerto Rican politicians live extremely well compared to the rest of us.    They do because they work for the interest of the United States.  This is why none of the PR problems get resolved.  On the contrary, they understandably just continue to grown the chaotic level that we have right now!

This explains why more Puerto Rican live off the island than on.   This explains why, more soldiers are recruited from PR than any of the 50 United States of America.  Isn’t it obvious, who benefits?

My boss says, “If you always do, what you’ve always done, you will always get what you have always gotten”.

For the past 40 years, we have always voted for one of the 2 principal Puerto Rican political parties.  So, if you vote for either of them again, can expect to have even more chaos for us than what we have already.  You would also be part of the problem.  How could you be part of the solution?

You can boycott the 2012 elections, and join us in petitioning the United Nations to decolonize the oldest colony in the world.  Boycotting would be a more intelligent way to vote for a PR that would benefit you for the very first time in our history!  Are you up to the challenge?
