The best way to force the United States government to comply
with the United Nations’ 36 resolutions asking it to give Puerto Rico’s
sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans is by creating a tsunami of people to
do that. That is a huge organizational
job! What we propose is that people in the various communities around the city
and around the world form their own Oscar – Mandela Committees.
Each could work independently doing outreach and educating
people about Puerto Rico’s history and her current colonial relationship of 120
years with the US government. We could communicate with each other on the
Internet and by telephone. Then when we need to get a tsunami of people to
protest at a given place, we could be there.
It would be particularly great if we could get students to
form these committees in their colleges and universities everywhere. We will
need young people to get this job done! Would you like to know what students in
Puerto Rico think about our present crisis?
I interviewed the spokespersons of the students’ groups
responsible for closing down the University of Puerto Rico in protest of the
Fiscal Control Board unilaterally imposed on Puerto Rico by the US government,
and in favor of Puerto Rico decolonization. Click on the various links to watch
videos of all 11 campuses:
We would like to hear from you to tell us what you this
about our proposal, and / or to add to it to make it to even better!
We need to work together, because those who have a long
history of committing crimes against humanity don’t believe in LIBERTY AND
JUSTICE FOR ALL!
