Why burn the police station?

About a thousand residents of Milwaukee Wisconsin in the United States (US) burned their community police station. What is behind that?

That problem has a history of 5 centuries that may not be so obvious. Since 1492, Western Europeans have been enslaving and killing all of the indigenous people who they have encountered. Although indigenous people may not be aware of all the specifics, they instinctively know that they have been systematically abused for the past 500 years. The US government (USG) has maintained Puerto Rico as it colony for the past 121 years.
