School desegregation in Tenn.

Most people in Clinton City, Tennessee did not want their high school (HS) desegregated in 1956. But, they were willing to accept the United States (US) Supreme Court’s decision to do so.

A small minority of residents, however, were so opposed to Black students attending Clinton HS that some men went as far as beating-up the White Baptist minister who escorted the Black students to school.

The school principal, who also obeyed the law, was amazed at how he and his family were being harassed, while those who wanted to break the law roamed freely about the city. Click on the following link to watch an interesting video about it: https://youtu.be/U9ACS4PgDFA

I have also been quite amazed at how almost 9 million Puerto Ricans have been exploited by the US government (USG) for the past 123 years with impunity. The USG has been allowed to violate the international law that prohibits colonialism since 1945, because it is a crime against humanity.

I have also been quite amazed at how humanity has allowed the USG to ignore 39 United Nations (UN) resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

The USG, like the Clinton residents, has never liked the UN’s Charter that prohibits colonialism for the past 76 years, but it is the law. If the USG is willing to break this law, then the USG is a lawless nation! And, we have seen exactly that with the white supremacists’ insurrection at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 to overturn Trump’s defeat in the 2020 presidential elections.

Most US citizens want law and order. What are we going to do about getting it?
