The Right Blacks must fight for

After the end of United States (US) Civil War, the Federal government supervised the enforcement of the right of Blacks in Mississippi to vote via the 15th Amendment to the US Constitution. But soon after the Federal Government left, white supremacists instituted its own states laws to continue to maintain Blacks enslaved in an alternate way. Puerto Ricans must also fight for our inalienable right to self-determination and independence. The US government (USG) violated that right, when it militarily invaded Puerto Rico to make her its colony 33 years after the end of its Civil War.

The USG has refused to comply with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism for the past 76 years, just like Mississippi refused to comply with the 15th Amendment.

The USG has also ignored 39 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. That means that today the USG is guilty of committing a crime against humanity! http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

The best way to fulfill the United States (US) of America’s pledge of “…liberty and justice for all” is for all good citizens to prevent white supremacists from ever holding public offices. What disqualifies them is their unwillingness to represent all US citizens! www.TodosUnidosDescolonizarPR.blogspot.com

Freedom isn’t free.
