Planned obsolescence is anti-democratic

Capitalism intentionally manufactures all of its products, so that they do not last forever. Does that benefit the 99% of the people, or just the top 1%? United States (US) capitalism is responsible for having over a million deaths due to the coronavirus, while, at the same time, 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens.

Moreover, the US has today 38 million of her own citizens living in poverty, while China, with 4 trillion less dollars in her Gross Domestic Product than the US, has already lifted 700 million Chinese out of poverty. That is more than twice the US’ population! China, which the US accuses of being authoritative, is 1.4 billion times more of a democracy than the US.

US Major General Smedley Butler wrote a book, WAR IS A RACKET, about the US government working exclusively to generate profits for its oligarchs, instead of governing for all of its citizens.  

US democracy is a racket.
