The United States (US) is anxious to go to war against Venezuela in order to try to maintain its hegemony. Today, the US is like Spain was during the Spanish American War of 1898. Spain was a declining empire, while the US was a rising one. Spain lost to the US Puerto Rico, Cuba, Guan and the Philippines. 

Puerto Rico is still today a US colony, despite the US' claim of being the "champion of democracy". The US has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations' resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. In the meantime, 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty.

China, with her one party communist political system, eradicated poverty, despite having 4 times the US' population, and having 11 trillion dollars less in Gross Domestic Product than the US. Are you aware that today the bottom half of Chinese live two times better than the bottom half of Americans? No wonder while only 35% of Americans are satisfied with their government, over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with theirs!

The global majority wants a real democratic world order, which the US and its allies have been obsessively sabotaging. Therefore, the better question is, will the world defend democracy?

The US is always looking to contain its rivals, but today the US is doing an excellent job of containing itself!

The US started on the wrong side of history by committing genocide against the indigenous people of North America in order to establish its artfical colonial settler state. The US has a long history of institutionalized racism, and moving this event to Canada because of it, will cost the US economy 40 billion dollars. At a time when the whole world is de-dollarizing, this will cause even greater hardship to 97% of Americans.

The US even hurts its own citizens by allowing almost 40 million of them to live in poverty, and another 201 million more to live from paycheck to paycheck, while at the same time 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also Americans.

El título del reportaje es sobre la "...altas tensiones en el Caribe". El imperio de Estados Unidos (EEUU) es el único responsable por las altas tensiones en el Caribe, pero el reportaje no lo menciona.

El portavoz del ejército de EEUU en Puerto Rico termina hablando sobre todo el dinero que representa el ejército estadounidense en Puerto Rico para la economía puertorriqueña. Y, ¿ cuánto vale la vida de un soldado puertorriueno sólo para hacer al imperio estadounidense más rico?

Lo que no te dicen en este reportaje es que EEUU ha consistentemente ignorado 43 resoluciones de la Organización de Naciones Unidas exigiendo la devolución inmediata de la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños. ¡Eso significa que, bajo la ley internacional, EEUU está cometiendo un crimen en contra de la humanidad!

Durante 127 años de colonialismo estadounidense, 6 millones de puertorriqueños han abandonado su territorio nacional (gentrificación), y casi la mitad de los 3 millones de personas en Puerto Rico viven en la pobreza. Por eso es que EEUU logra reclutar más personas para su ejército en Puerto Rico, que en cualquiera de los 50 estados de la Unión. 

En vez de beber café como si el colonialismo se debería tolerar para siempre, los 9 millones de puertorriqueños mundialmente deberíamos hacer resistencias permanentes para obligar a EEUU a cumplir con la ley internacional.
