The US is always looking to contain its rivals, but today the US is doing an excellent job of containing itself!
The US started on the wrong side of history by committing genocide against the indigenous people of North America in order to establish its artfical colonial settler state. Today, the US continues on that same path by supporting the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine against international law.
Today, BRICS offers the world an excellent opportunity of living in a real democratic world order. The US is terrified of that, and will do everything in its power to sabotage BRICS!
This new democratic world order would also be good for Americans. Right now, almost 40 million Americans live in poverty, and another 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also Americans.
Puerto Ricans would welcome it too, as the US has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations' resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. In the meantime, 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty too. And yet, the US deceptively claims to support Taiwan's right to self-determination and independence in order to try to justify a war against China.
Trump's mistakes help world democratization.
