Puerto Rico’s
colonial administrator talked on the television program The Daily Show about
Puerto Rico’s problems, but he was unable to articulate intelligently what the
real problem has been and what is the only solution. Click on the following link

The genesis
of Puerto Rico’s 120 year crisis is the United States (US) military invasion of
July 25, 1898. That resulted in Puerto Rico becoming a US colony.
Do you know
that the US government has tried to hide that fact by allowing a so called “Puerto
Rico Constitution” to be enacted on July 25, 1952? The US government does not
want people to know that the oldest and most populated colony existing today is
still a US colony.
Do you know
that in 1953 the US government asked the United Nations to take Puerto Rico off
its list of colonies, because Puerto Rico had attained self-government the year
before via the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico? The UN did, and that is why Puerto
Rico is not on that list.
The US
government in 1898 identified Puerto Ricans as belonging to an inferior race.
The US therefore legislated that Puerto Rico be an unincorporated territory so
that the US Constitution could not be extended to the Puerto Ricans. This has
been interpreted by the US Supreme Court to mean that Puerto Rico belongs to
but is not a part of the US.
The US
imposed its citizenship on Puerto Ricans in 1917, but it is, of course, a
second class one. It was designed to divert Puerto Ricans’ natural loyalty to
their homeland to the US. It has worked brilliantly, as this video has
demonstrated.
Puerto
Ricans learn the history that the US government wants them to know. That is why
so many US citizens are clueless about Puerto Rico’s perpetual crisis.
People need
to learn history independently of the US government’s control to understand the
root of the problem and how to fix it for real. The Puerto Rico colonial administrator
is incapable of doing that, as he made that clear in this video.
The answer
to fixing the problem is a simple one, but the US government does not to do it.
The answer is in the United Nations’ Charter, and its 37 resolutions asking it
to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.
