In the
southern states, you see monuments honoring the Confederate Army of the United
States Civil War. Obviously, those were "the good old days" for them! The fact
that these monuments exist today is a testimony of how deeply rooted racism is
in the US' national fabric. Click on the following links for more: 1.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOkFXPblLpU

In contrast,
you will not find statues honoring Nazism in Germany. The German government teaches
the history of Nazism in its school, and dissuades its glorification. Germans
accept their history in order to learn from it, and to create a better nation
for their people.
The US
government (USG), conversely, does not want to create a better nation for its
people. This is why institutionalized racism still exists after the US
Holocaust. And that is why today, “We the People” are protesting everywhere for
the eradication of it!
Puerto Ricans
have also been victims of this. The USG militarily invaded Puerto Rico to make
her its colony in 1898. The USG has violated for the past 75 years the United
Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism. The USG has, moreover,
ignored 38 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s
sovereignty to the Puerto Rico. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/
This means
that the USG will not eliminate institutionalized racism, unless “We the People”
force it to do so. Let’s decolonize our minds, so that we could organize the kind
of resistance necessary to make the US better. We must, because those who want
to “Make America Great Again” are the ones who want to go back to “the good old
days”. www.TodosUnidosDescolonizarPR.blogspot.com
The good old
days only benefit 1% of the people.
