Why decolonize knowledge?

We are all educated to accept the status quo. Does the status quo benefit 100% of “We the People”? The answer is in the protesting happening all over the world after George Floyd’s assassination.

James Baldwin talked about institutionalized racism in the United States (US) in 1965. I believe that the essence of his speech was to enlighten us about the necessity of decolonizing our minds from western European knowledge purported to be the universal truth. If we don’t decolonize our knowledge, we will inevitably continue to propagate the same status quo that we pretend to want to revolutionize. Even if we were to have a Black president, as we did, and he doesn’t lead the country to decolonize knowledge, as he did not, he would have kept the same racial inequality that has historically existed in the US, which he did!

While Obama was president, the USG continued to violate the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism since 1945. While Obama was president, the USG continued to ignore 38 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

In order to eradicate institutionalized racism, we must decolonized our minds from the racist education that we had been taught since birth. When we have detoxified our minds from that, we could then organize ourselves to permanently eliminate the USG’s institutionalized racism.

We need solidarity to accomplish this, because those who have adulterated knowledge to exploit us forever have never wanted LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL! www.TodosUnidosDescolonizarPR.blogspot.com

To ensure getting the job done correctly!
