The new so
called “governor of Puerto Rico” Pedro Pierluisi said, “I need everyone to
battle our common enemy.” But, he never named who that enemy is. Click on the
following link to read that article: https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/governor-sworn-wary-puerto-rico-demands-75014253
He did,
however, say that he vowed to achieve statehood for Puerto Rico, and fight
against poverty, corruption and the pandemic. Is it possible that he doesn’t
realize that Puerto Rico’s common enemy is the United States (US) government
(USG)?
Doesn’t
Pierluisi know that the USG militarily invaded Puerto Rico to make her its
colony in 1898?
Doesn’t
Pierluisi know that the USG has never complied with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter
that prohibits colonialism since 1945?
Doesn’t Pierluisi
know that the USG has ignored 39 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return
Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/
Doesn’t Pierluisi
know that, because of all that, the USG is committing a crime against humanity?
And for that and more, doesn’t Pierluisi know that the world regards the USG as
the biggest threat to world peace?
And finally,
doesn’t Pierluisi know that the UN just started its 4th
International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism?
The fact of
the matter is that Pierluisi is the administrator of the US colony, Puerto
Rico, for the exclusive interest of the USG. We can expect, as usual, to get only
lip service for another 4 years.
The only way
to govern Puerto Rico for us is to forget about voting in elections, and start engaging
in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with international law. But
to do that, we must all be clear about who the enemy is. www.TodosUnidosDescolonizarPR.blogspot.com
We must be clear who the enemy is.
