The
following video, produced by the United States (US) government (USG) in 1943,
is about good people being persuaded, or suckered, into being prejudiced for
the benefit of a small group. https://youtu.be/8K6-cEAJZlE
But isn’t
that exactly the history of the US?
What did the
USG do to the indigenous people of America?
What did the
USG do to the enslaved people of Africa?
What caused
the US Civil War?
And, what caused
the insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021?
We can’t
make the US great, if we are not morally great. We need to question our own
personal morality to be able to engage in a constructive dialogue about the USG
representing justice for all of its citizens.
Puerto Rico
today is still a US colony for the past 123 years. By doing so, the USG is
committing a crime against humanity as expressed in the United Nations’ (UN) Charter
of 1945.
Moreover, the
USG has, thus far, ignored 39 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return
Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. How many people know that? http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/
That
educational video is fantastic. Let’s learn from it, and put it into action!
Don’t wait
until the injustice personally comes your way. Remember what Martin Luther King
Jr. said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
The truth will bring us together!
