What is the answer to capitalism?

Capitalism and democracy are incompatible. Socialism and democracy are compatible. This is why the 1% of US citizens have made socialism a bad word!

The 99% of us must wake up, and insist that the US become a real democracy. The 1% will fight us, so expect to engage in permanent resistance now, tomorrow, and forever.
