Puerto Rico had self-government with Spain at the time the US militarily invaded her in 1898 to make her a US colony. The US refused in 1945 to comply with the UN’s Charter that prohibits colonialism for being a crime against humanity. The most striking evidence that the US is not a democracy is the fact that the US is the epicenter of the coronavirus with over a million deaths, while at the same time 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens.

It is important to note that the US only represents the 1% of citizens in only 13% of the nations in the world.
