En el 25 de
julio de 1898, Estados Unidos invadió militarmente a Puerto Rico, una provincia
de España, para hacerla su colonia. Es importante señalar que Puerto Rico, para
aquel entonces, había alcanzado gobierno propio vía la Carta Autonómica del
1897.
Después de
125 años, Puerto Rico continua siendo una colonia estadounidense, porque EU
reúsa cumplir con 42 resoluciones de la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) pidiéndole
que devuelva inmediatamente la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños. Sin
embargo, EU dice que apoya el derecho inalienable de Taiwán a su
autodeterminación e independencia. ¡Por lo tanto, la “democracia”
estadounidense es selectiva!
Con la
creación de la ONU en el 1945, y su Carta que hace el colonialismo un crimen en
contra de la humanidad, EU creó, el 25 de julio de 1952, el “Estado Libre
Asociado de Puerto Rico (ELA)” para tratar de esconder su colonia ante el
mundo.
Los boricuas que
celebran esa mentira de EU en el día de hoy son cómplices de su crimen. Sería
bueno mencionar que dos terceras partes de los boricuas viven hoy fuera de
nuestro territorio nacional, y la mitad, de los que quedamos, viven en la

Y, en el 25
de julio de 1978, el supuesto “gobierno de Puerto Rico” asesinó a dos jóvenes
independentista en el Cerro Maravilla. La versión oficial fue que estos jóvenes
fueron al Cerro Maravilla para derrumbar unas torres de comunicación, pero
luego se supo que la policía los atrapó allí para matarlos.
Los boricuas
tenemos el derecho a nuestra autodeterminación e independencia, pero los 9
millones de boricuas mundialmente tendríamos que hacer resistencia permanente
para lograrlo.

On July 25, 1898, the United States (US) militarily invaded

that Puerto Rico at the time of the invasion had obtained self-government via
the Autonomic Charter of 1897.

her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

And, on July 25, 1978. The so-called “government” of Puerto
Rico assassinated 2 young Puerto Rican independence fighter at the Cerro
Maravilla. The official version was that they had gone there to blow up some communication
towers, but it was discovered later that the police had lured them there to
kill them.
Boricuas have the inalienable right to self-determination and
independence, but the 9 million Boricuas worldwide would have to engage in
permanent resistance to achieve it!
