The US’ colonization of PR

It is important to mention that today two thirds of Puerto Ricans live outside of our national territory. And, half of Boricuas who have refused to abandon our homeland live today in poverty!

The US, thus, has been committing a crime against humanity by continually refusing to comply with 42 United Nations resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

The US, instead, promotes plebiscites to supposedly determine what political status we want. This, of course, is to divide and conquer us, and to keep us a colony forever. If, however, the US were to return our sovereignty as required by international law, we would then be able to determine our own future for ourselves!

Therefore, the US’ claim that she is a democracy and the protector of human rights is a lie! The US is a plutocracy, and that is why she is today in a war with the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

But, as the world order increasingly becomes multipolar, real democracy will have a much better opportunity to flourish.

Imperialists don’t believe in justice for all.
