Hegemony despite MAD

It is important to remember that both the US and Israel are colonial settler states that committed genocide to establish their artificial nations. They illegally started the war against Iran, and therefore, could never be considered democracies!

The US, the so-called "champion of democracy", is unwilling or incapable of removing its psychopathic president from office, which may possibly result in President Trump driving the world's economy off the cliff! 

This is all consistent with US Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler exposing in his 1935 book WAR IS A RACKET that the US uses wars to enrich its corporations. Another clear exposure of the American Empire came when former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said, "It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be a friend is fatal."

"Allies" have proven ineffective in stopping the US Empire from global financial armageddon. With "leaders of the free world" like this, who needs the safeguard of "Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD)"?

The US, in the 1980's, totally moved away from the idea that industrial capital is the way to minimize financial rent to create equality and justice for all. Today's US' financial economy exclusively favors oligarchs.

This is why almost 40 million Americans today live in poverty, and 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also Americans. Only 35% of Americans are satisfied with their multiparty so-called "democratic" political system.

The US Empire has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations' (UN) resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 6 million Puerto Ricans, thus far, have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico also live in poverty. Bad Bunny made reference to Puerto Rico's colonial relationship with the US in his Super Bowl Halftime Show, which is the real reason why President Trump hated it!

On the other hand, the People's Republic of China has amazingly succeeded in eradicating poverty, despite having 11 trillion dollars less than the US, and having 4 times the US' population. Over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their one party communist political system, which means that a real democracy needs a government strong enough to prevent oligarchs from running the nation.
