http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c9Q7At2vsQ

US never discusses the real issue concerning Puerto Rico decolonization

http://www.c-span.org/video/?152967-1/clemency-decision-faln-members
Click on the above link to see a video of the October 20, 1999 US Senate hearing about President Clinton’s decision to grant clemency to several Puerto Rican political prisoners for fighting to decolonize Puerto Rico.    The 2 pictures are about the occupation of Puerto Rico following the US military invasion of 1898.

The United States government never recognizes the fact that it is the US government that is committing the international crime of maintaining Puerto Rico as its colony.  The UN declared colonialism a crime against humanity in 1960.

The United States government never recognizes its own violence used in its military invasion of Puerto Rico on July 25, 1898, or the people who died and were wounded as a result of it.  It did not hold a plebiscite to see if Puerto Rico wanted to be a colony of the United States, like it wants others to do, and to renounce the use of violence.  When others use violence to achieve their objectives, the US government calls them "radicals and terrorists".  Based on what the US government does, one thing is certain, it doesn't really believe in justice for all!

The United States government never recognizes the fact that under international law it is the US government’s fault for having ignored 33 United Nations (UN) resolutions asking it to immediately decolonize Puerto Rico if anyone gets hurt or dies as a result of any possible actions related to Puerto Rico decolonization.   International law states that colonized people have the right to use whatever means necessary to decolonize themselves.

The US government through its propaganda wants us to believe that Puerto Rican patriots who fight for the decolonization are terrorists.   But the fact of the matter is that it is the US government that is the real terrorist and habitual criminal for continuing to perpetrate this crime against humanity against the People of Puerto Rico.

This is why, we must peacefully protest at least 3 times a year on a permanent basis until we decolonize Puerto Rico.  Join and be a part of the tsunami of people to obligate the US government to comply with the UN resolutions.  These marches are necessary because, those who have colonies don’t believe in justice for all!  More information late in January 2015.

Puertorriqueños recuerdan al patriota Filiberto Ojeda Ríos / Puerto Ricans remember patriot Filiberto Ojeda Ríos

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x26kvw2_puerto-ricans-remember-the-fighter-for-independence-filiberto-ojeda_news

Filiberto Ojeda Ríos was assassinated by the FBI for his fight to decolonize Puerto Rico.  It is important to note that he had the right to do that under international law.  All colonized countries have the right to use all means necessary to decolonize themselves.  Therefore, the United States (US) government used state terrorism to illegally suppress Puerto Rico decolonization.

This clearly demonstrates that the US government wants to keep Puerto Rico as its colony forever.  For further evidence, we can also mention that the US government has ignored 33 United Nations resolutions asking it to immediately decolonize Puerto Rico.  Additionally, we can point to the fact that the US government has had Oscar López Rivera incarcerated for the last 33 years for his fight to decolonize Puerto Rico.  Almost the entire world has asked President Obama to release Oscar from prison.  And yet, Oscar still remains there.

That is why, we must peacefully protest at least 3 times a year on a permanent basis until we decolonize Puerto Rico.  Join and be a part of the tsunami of people to obligate the US government to comply with the UN resolutions.  These marches are necessary because, those who have colonies don’t believe in justice for all!  More information late in January 2015.

Many people believe that independence for Puerto Rico is a political status option.  They could not be more wrong!  The fact of the matter is that under international law, which is the only law that has jurisdiction in colonial cases, independence is an inalienable right.  There is no law on Earth that could take away that right.

That is why, after the United Nations (UN) proclaimed colonialism to be a crime against humanity, it has issued thus far 33 resolutions asking the United States government to immediately give Puerto Rico her sovereignty.  That is what decolonization is.  And that would then make Puerto Rico an independent nation like the nearly 200 nations that make up the United Nations.

Many people believe that the present relationship with the United States is a political option for Puerto Rico.  They too could not be more wrong!  That relationship is a crime against humanity.  Puerto Rican cannot choose that political relationship even if 100% of Puerto Ricans around the world voted for it.  So clearly, colonialism is not permitted to exist legally.

Some people believe that Puerto Rico should become a state of the United States (US) of America.  They therefore believe that that is a political option for Puerto Rico.  They are correct.  But they are wrong when they believe that as a colony we could vote for that now.  The only direction for us to go right now is to become an independent nation.  It is only then that we could consider becoming a state of the United States.  And even if 100% of all Puerto Ricans around the world were to vote for that, that wouldn't make it so.  That is because the government of the United States would have to agree to it.  Puerto Rico does not have a right to be a state of the United States of America, or of any other country.

It is obvious after ignoring 33 UN resolutions that the US government wants to keep Puerto Rico a colony forever.  This is why it is necessary to permanently protest peacefully at least 3 times a year until the US government complies with these resolutions.  More information late in January 2015.

Not true that there are 3 political status options for Puerto Rico

http://www.vidalatinasd.com/news/2014/nov/06/sin-avances-sobre-el-estatus-de-puerto-rico-2/

The United States (US) government has made Puerto Ricans believe that there are 3 political status options for Puerto Rico.  That is a lie.  The purpose for that is to have Puerto Ricans fight amongst themselves.  The plan has been a huge success!  Puerto Rico has been a colony of the United States for 116 years, and judging by the 80% voter turnout in the colonial elections, the majority of us has not realized that we have been lied to.

In reality, there is only one option.  The United Nations (UN) in 1960 determined that colonialism is a crime against humanity.  Therefore, the only thing that Puerto Rico can do is to become her own nation.   That means that the US government must give Puerto Rico the sovereignty that it illegally took away from her by virtue of the July 25, 1898 military invasion.

Thus far, the US government has ignored the 33 UN resolutions asking it to immediately decolonize Puerto Rico.  Instead, the US government has tried to hide these petitions by trying to appear it believes in democracy through promoting the use of plebiscites.  The US deception strategy is to seduce Puerto Ricans  to cast a vote between staying colonialized, being a US state, or independence (decolonization, which is what the UN requires).

The problems with these US-pushed plebiscites are that they:

1.       don’t comply with international law which prohibits a nation from having a colony.

2.       don’t comply with international law which requires that the empire has to give the sovereignty it illegally took away back to its colony.

3.       don’t comply with international law which requires that in order to have free elections, a country must be free (decolonized) first.

4.       have 2 options that are not permitted by international law (continuing being a colony and becoming a state of the imperial power).  For the latter option to be considered, the colony must first become her own nation (decolonized).

Join and be a part of the tsunami of people to obligate the US government to comply with the UN resolutions.  This march is necessary because, those who have colonies don’t believe in justice for all!  More information late in January 2015.
