US citizenship gets Puerto Ricans what?

Do you know that US citizenship was forced on Puerto Ricans in 1917, after the Puerto Rico Assembly of Delegates rejected the US government’s offer? The Puerto Rican delegates were aware then that US citizenship was not going to be for the benefit of Puerto Ricans. And they were right!

Nobody talks about the fact that the US government is in violation of the United Nations’ Charter and 36 of its resolutions asking it to immediately give Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

Therefore, we will continue to protest to force the US government to stop committing this crime against humanity, and comply with international law to eradicate colonialism.
