The US has quickly moved from "a war we can't afford to lose", according to Trump, to a war we can't afford to wage. So, why did America start it?

It did in order to colonize the Islamic Republic of Iran to steal her oil, just like the US is doing today in Venezuela. It is for the very same reason that the US is also fighting a war today against the Russian Federation in Ukraine, and is also preparing to fight against the People's Republic of China. The US wants to Puertoricanize the whole world. 

The US has maintained Puerto Rico colonized for the past 128 years. The US has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations' (UN) resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty. Bad Bunny made reference to Puerto Rico's colonial relationship with the US in his Super Bowl Halftime Show. That is the real reason why President Trump hated it!

The US Empire would rather spend 1 billion dollars a day in the Iran war to have 9 of the 10 richest men in the world be Americans, than to help the almost 40 million Americans who live today in poverty, and the 201 million more who live from paycheck to paycheck.

Meanwhile, China, whom the US claims to be a dictatorship, eradicated poverty, despite having 4 times the US' population, and 11 trillion dollars less than the US. Over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their one communist party political system, while only 35% of Americans are satisfied with their multiparty "democratic" political system.
