"US democracy" is a racket, and US Marine Major General Smedley Butler realized that. He wrote a book in 1935, WAR IS A RACKET, to explain how the US uses war to enrich its oligarchs at the expense of its soldiers' lives.
A year before his book, oligarchs approached him to lead a coup d'etat against President Franklin D. Roosevelt, because they did not want to pay for his New Deal. Although Butler revealed the plot, the government took no action against the oligarchs.
It is essential that you understand that the US is governed today by the top 10% of its citizens. That is why almost 40 million of Americans live in poverty, and another 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans too. 90% of Americans want to MAKE AMERICA A REAL DEMOCRACY, and not just GREAT FOR ONLY 10%!
The US has always been obsessed with colonizing the world. The US began with committing genocide against the indigenous people of North America to establish its colonial settler state, and today it is at war to colonize the Russian Federation, Cuba, Venezuela, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and preparing to do the same to the People's Republic of China.
The latter, which detests imperialism, has already eradicated poverty, despite having 11 trillion dollars less than the US, and having 4 times the US' population. While only 35% of Americans are satisfied with their multiparty "democracy", over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their communist party, which proves that a democracy must prohibit oligarchs from running the nation.

6 million Puerto Ricans, or two thirds of the nation, live today away from their national territory, because the US has forced them to seek a better life elsewhere (gentrification), and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty too. Bad Bunny made reference to this in his Super Bowl Halftime Show, which angered President Trump!
As a result of brainwashing, half of Puerto Ricans on the island want Puerto Rico to become another state of the US in order to achieve equality with the citizens on the mainland. The reality is, however, that 90% of them don't have equality with the top 10% of their fellow Americans, although they vote every 4 years.
We could all agree that China is an imperfect democracy.
