“Russia's New Weapon in Ukraine: Offering Citizenship. Moscow has been distributing Russian passports to Ukrainians living in the regions of eastern Ukraine. Russia's Interior Ministry says that more than 527,000 people in parts of eastern Ukraine where Moscow-backed separatist formations are waging a war against Kyiv have been granted Russian citizenship over the past two years. Ukraine has condemned the Russian naturalization of Ukrainian citizens as part of a hybrid-warfare campaign being waged by Moscow and a violation of Ukraine's sovereignty.” Click on the following link to watch that video: https://youtu.be/R3a07iSTtlI
Where was
the outcry, when the United States government (USG) did much worse than that?
The USG
offered Puerto Ricans its citizenship in 1917 just like the Russian are doing today
in eastern Ukraine. But, in the case of Puerto Rico, when we refused, the USG forced
its passport on us. Puerto Ricans were then drafted into its military to fight
in World War I. Puerto Rico has been a US colony for the past 123 years!
The USG has never complied with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism since 1945. The USG has ignored 39 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. This month, the UN will once again hold its annual hearing on Puerto Rico decolonization, and issue its 40th resolution. Will the USG ignore that one too with impunity? The UN begins this year its 4th International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism. Where is the international outcry for sanctions against the USG? http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001
If the world wants peace, we must insist on having real justice. All countries must comply with international law. The USG has the worst record on that! And, that is why the world considers the USG, by far, as our greatest threat to peace. http://www.todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/
People
around the world must unite to pressure our governments to do what is right. If
we don’t, then it’s a jungle!
Do we want a jungle?
