Is capitalism consistent with democracy?

Capitalism is totally inconsistent with a democracy. That is why the United States (US):

1. Has deindustrialized herself to maximize profits for the 1% of US citizens

2. Has Privatized human rights

3. Has used wars for profit

4. Is home to 9 of the 10 richest men in the world

5. Is, according to the world, the biggest threat to peace

Half of US citizens today believe that socialism would be a better economic system for us. But to get that, we would have to force the 1% out of its total control of the US government.     

Government for the people is impossible via capitalism.
