United
States’ (US) neoliberalism of the 1980’s looked to maximize profits for the 1%
of her citizens via short term finance capitalism, and deindustrialization by
using foreign labor abroad.
China, on
the other hand, has focused on industrialization by using her economy as a public
good, and planning for the long term. Click on the following link to understand
why the US economy is unable to compete with China: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqF7KIpqW9U&ab_channel=HotTopicsTime
The only
reason why China is a US enemy is because, she is replacing the US as hegemon. Anyone
who does not obey the US blindly is an enemy, and thus, not democratic. The
world, however, regards the US, and not China, as the greatest the greatest
threat to peace.
We need to
replace neoliberalism with an economic system that benefits all US citizens.
Isn’t that what democracy is about?
Neoliberalism
is not for democracies.
