The global majority has decided to choose resistance rather than continuing to allow the United States (US) to colonize the world. The Russian Federation has decided to help defend Venezuela from becoming another US colony. Please click on this link for more: https://youtu.be/pPYW5CluQ84
Puerto Ricans understand colonialism well. Puerto Rico has been a US colony for the past 127 years.
The US has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty.
Pedro Albizu Campos led a revolution against US imperialism in Puerto Rico in 1950. Puerto Ricans were too weak and alone to liberate themselves. But today, with the US Empire collapsing, and the creation of a new multipolar world order, Puerto Ricans have a better chance of decolonizing themselves.
About 50% of Puerto Ricans want Puerto Rico to become the 51 state of the Union in order to achieve, as they put it, "equality". Unfortunately for them, that is inconsistent with President Trump's "Make America Great Again".
That is a euphemism for making America predominantly White again. What does racism and colonialism have to do with democracy? And if it does, why is the US the biggest threat to peace? Hopefully, these Puerto Ricans will realize that they have bet on the wrong horse!
The world is in danger of the possibility that the US may choose to push the Doomsday Clock even closer to midnight, rather than accept multipolarity. The global majority, however, has decided to take Patrick Henry's position, as stated in his fiery speech to the Second Virginia Convention on March 23, 1775 at the St. John's Church in Richmond Virginia, "Give me liberty, or give me death".
There is no dignity in being a slave.
