Recognizing its declining imperial power, the US now wants to concentrate on exploiting nations in its own hemisphere. That will be impossible to do today. If the US tries to colonize Venezuela, she will have the protection of Russia, the People's Republic of China, Iran, North Korea and the global majority. How will the US respond to that reality?

The US will be tempted to start World War III, because oligarchs have always wanted to steal the resources of all nations no matter what!

That greed is what has almost 40 million Americans living in poverty today, and 201 million more living from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans too. Only 35% of Americans are satisfied today with their multiparty "democratic" political system.

That greed is also why the US has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.  6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty too.

This is why Americans must see the writing on the wall, and stop their country from starting World War III.
