Trumps' threat ignored

The US' loss of its exorbitant privilege will force it to live within its means. That will be very difficult to do, since the US deindustrialized in the 1990's so that US oligarchs could make more profit from a cheaper workforce abroad. That was when the US turned its back on the middle class.  

Today, almost 40 million Americans are living in poverty, and 201 million more are living from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also Americans.

Moreover, the US has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty too.

The US can't be the champion of democracy, and the biggest threat to peace at the same time. Being that the US has unilaterally pushed the Doomsday Clock to 89 seconds to midnight, the US is the latter.

No democracy, no liberty and justice for all.
