Asunto: Solicitud de información ambiental y resultados de análisis de contaminantes en Fort Allen

Estimado Coronel:

La organización Madres contra la Guerra, fundada el 1 de mayo de 2003, trabaja en defensa de la paz, la salud ambiental y los derechos humanos en Puerto Rico. En atención a nuestro compromiso con la transparencia y la protección de la salud pública, nos dirigimos a usted para solicitar formalmente información sobre las condiciones ambientales en Fort Allen, Juana Díaz.

Solicitamos la siguiente información:

1. Resultados de muestreos de agua potable (2021–2025) realizados en Fort Allen, incluyendo concentraciones detectadas de PFOS, PFOA, PFHxS, PFNA, GenX y otros compuestos PFAS, junto con los límites de detección, laboratorios y métodos analíticos utilizados.
2. Copia o resumen del Preliminary Assessment/Site Inspection (PA/SI) sobre PFAS actualmente en curso por el Departamento de Defensa en Fort Allen.
3. Detalle de acciones de mitigación o tratamiento para cumplir con los niveles máximos de contaminantes (MCLs) establecidos por la EPA en 2024.
4. Copia del informe Operational Range Assessment Program (ORAP) – Fase I (2008) y de cualquier estudio adicional (Fase II o remediación) sobre constituyentes de municiones (MCOC) o metales pesados.
5. Información sobre posibles contaminaciones en suelo o aguas subterráneas dentro o fuera de la instalación y notificaciones realizadas a comunidades vecinas.

Solicitamos que la información sea remitida en formato digital o impreso, conforme a la Ley de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información Pública de Puerto Rico y las normas del Departamento de Defensa de los Estados Unidos.

Esta gestión tiene carácter educativo y preventivo, no litigioso. Nuestro propósito es garantizar la salud de las familias y del personal militar en la zona sur del país, en armonía con los principios de justicia ambiental que defendemos.

US Government - Citizen Disconnection

When will the pain be enough to get 97% of Americans to insist that their nation must become a real democracy?

Today, almost 40 million Americans live in poverty, and another 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans too. The bottom half of Chinese today live 2 times better than the bottom half of Americans!

The US has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. Nevertheless, the US has the audacity to claim that it supports Taiwan's inalienable right to self-determination and independence, only because it wants to try to justify a war against the People's Republic of China in order to colonize her too!

The West has a long history of imperialism. Can it ever become democratic for the sake of humanity?

Most Americans don't know how close the United States (US) came to joining  Italy, Germany, Spain, Japan, Portugal, and Austria in facism.

Why didn't the US bring the coup plotters to justice in 1934? The US didn't for the same reason that it commited genocide against the indigenous people of North America to create its artificial colonial setller state, it has today almost 40 million Americans living in poverty, and another 201 million more living from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans too, it has consistently ignored 43 United Nations resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans, it has unconditionally supported the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine against international law, and it wants to colonize today the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China. and Venezuela. 

The US has never been the champion of democracy. The US has always been a rogue state. That was why Butler also wrote a book about that called WAR IS A RACKET.

9 millones también es el número total de puertorriqueños en el mundo. 6 millones de ellos abandonaron su territorio nacional por el colonialismo estadounidense en Puerto Rico durante los últimos 127 años. Casi la mitad de los 3 millones de personas en Puerto Rico viven hoy en la pobreza.

Es importante mencionar que Estados Unidos gobierna para solo el 3% de sus ciudadanos. El imperio americano es la razón por la cual casi 40 millones de americanos viven hoy en la pobreza, y 201 millones más viven de cheque a cheque, mientras que 9 de los 10 hombres más ricos del mundo son americanos también. ¡La mitad inferior de los chinos viven hoy 2 veces mejor que la mitad inferior de los americanos! 

Y, el imperialismo americano es también la razón por la cual ese gobierno ha consistentemente ignorado 43 resoluciones de la Organización de Naciones Unidas exigiendo la devolución inmediata de la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños. Sin embargo, Estados Unidos tiene la audacia de engañosamente decir que apoya el derecho inalienable de Taiwán a su autodeterminación e independencia, solo por tratar de justificar una guerra con la República Popular de China para colonizarla también.

Los americanos se van sin democracia.
